Sorry but you bought a Cobalt, so it's not possible to go down the track and still be under warranty.

As long as you buy GM Performance Parts and have GM install them, you still have a warranty.

Yeah I'd like to know what the guys with full GMPP bolt-ons* are running. Thats the route I plan to take. I even ordered the filter that comes with the 2.2/2.4 GMPP intake for my airbox mod so I can claim that it is a GM part, lol.

*GMPP Stage 2, Honed Manifold, & Exhaust.

as long as your not stupid and leave time slips in your car...plus wuts the reason for a 2.0 superchared if you cant use it for wu its for.... i dont think it would void a warrenty by going to the track

So that's why my dealership kept denying my warranty claims...... If you have a cool dealership then you can, otherwise be careful.

Like stinkbomb said, you rag out your car and run it down the track = no warranty.

Read the fine print. ANY racing, on or off road is missuse and voids the warrentty. Dodge has people go to track and record SRT-4 plates to log them into the system as void.

I think that Mitsu is the worst about it. Subaru of America isn't too fond of the practice either, but my local dealership just happens to be one of the better ones.

^^Just wait till the first time your tread depth gets gauged. That made me extremely happy when my local Chevy Stealership measure mine.

so they measure the tread to see if youve been..launching/racing???

also..i dont get why they make performance parts for the car that dont void the warrenty but then if you want to go test it out at the local drag they wanna cut you off...

I run 13.6s with all GM parts and I have in writing that my car is indeed under warnity. With drag radials and GMP manifold and dual pass = high 12s.

it all comes down to making money, no warranty means you have to flip the bill not GM for parts and laber .
