I like how the dude in the altima just kept repeating himself like a broken record. He thought he just beat a supercharged SS

 

im glad mine is called GT no one knows what motors in it hahaha and what that a 3.5L altima. i have raced the 2.5L in my g5 and i won. hell the sunfire can keep with them

You are probably dead on for 2008 The 2.4 isnt gonna have a SS badge after 2007 model year .

 

i mean, i dont wanna knock the 2.4 cuz its still pretty powerful and has a lot of potential, but it shouldn't have the ss badge on it. But i must say that a 2.4 has more of a right to have a ss badge on it than a ****** malibu.

 

I think the 2.4L 5 speed is SS worthy...but not the auto..yeah I know its werid

The V6 Altimas haul ASS. My girlfriends brother has one and I detailed it a few weeks ago. I pulled on my friends LT-1 T/A on the highway. I let off at 120 and it was still pulling hard. I'm gonna say harder than the SS/SC ive driven.

 

It's a good match up with my Eclipse GT

 

Aren't there already about three or four 10-15 page threads about this "SS" issue already? I looked up "dead horse" on wikipedia and it linked me here.

newer altima 3.5s would smoke a g5... they're a good matchup for a stock ss/sc with a good driver

i would love to agree, but, the malibu ss will beat the cobalt 2.4 in a race, is more comfortable, etc... a stock malibu ss would beat a stock cobalt 2.4 hands down... so why shouldn'it it have it? it's just a marketing ploy, nothing else really... they have to apeal to the people that want a lil pep in their step, but also have a family... it's smart marketing from an overall point of view... purists wouldn't like it, but the everyday man would

 

You can just hear the disbeleif in the filmers voice "we're burnin a cobalt ss.... we're burnin a cobalt ss..."

 

The Name plate Malibu deserves the SS badge more then any other Chevy car(except maybe the impala), its got alot of heritage with the SS badges...its just this model isn't exactly living up to what a Malibu SS was

 

I swear we've already had this argument 5 times.

check out the blistering performance numbers that thing put down and noone said it shouldn't be called an SS cause its slow.
