New best 13.9@105.5!

Hey guys went to Moroso last night and was the most consistent I have ever been all runs were in 13.9 territory so here is as the ticket reads.

RT .132
60 2.411
330 6.243
1/8 9.258
mph 81.82
1000 11.839
1/4 13.901
MPH 105.5

Just so you all know I am hpt tuned and I think that the boost limit in 1st gear kind of held me back from my potential. Also the crappy sixty foot time is because I was scared to break another axle as when I went to the track last time so i just feathered it out of the hole.

Congrats on the 13's! To give you some hope, Rob ran a 12.9@105.xx mph, so you've got a high 12 second car if you get your launch down.

grats my fastest time was 14.08 in my balt with a 2.7 in FL. People dont understand the humidity robs your car down there, yes it may be at sea level but the humidity kills performance.

I don't know if this is good but I ran a 14.4 @ 99mph, 2.3xx 60' with just an aem intake. To me you should be hitting mid 13's with your mods.

Robs went 12's @ 105 , it also went low 13's @ greater than 105 If the car was capable of effciently launching , it is a 12 sec potential car .....meaning if u didnt have to worry about the axles and could dump the clutch at 4-4500 and hook up with a slick .

yes this car is one of the worst to launch but Rob was making 270-280whp on the 12 sec run, i think . I just think if the car was lauched perfect it would still run out steem with glock's mods.

I would like to think not . Sadly theres just not enuff people pushing these cars( slicks , axles , high rpm launch ) hard enuff to know . Its always GOOD mph and horrific 60 ft times from nearly everyone . Im just basing my thought on the fact I have went 12.8/9's in my past cars with 103-105 mph .

So I guess Im not agreeing or dissagreeing with ya

Well I think my mph could have been higher seeing that I have the boost limited in 1st gear from hp tuners so I think i could get another mph or so, also I will be adding a h/e, axles, electronic 3" dump. That is my next "stage".

Congrats on the new best, like everyone else said you're at LEAST in the low 13's if you get that 60ft down.

Nice time man.

But Im sure you can do better.

With stock clutch and axles I ran a best of 13.826 @ 107.4 MPH
With stage 2 a 2.8, intake, and catt back for power, and trans mounts, engine mount, and CAB.s for traction.

I used KDWs, 235/40/18s to do it.
With about a 1sec burn out. I just spun them a bit to lightly heat them and that was it.

I launched at about 1700 Rpm witt a bit of feathering of the clutch.

Some more tunning, axles and some better tires and you should be a low 13.xxx car all day long.

Later.

That's a decent run, but what is holding you back (other than the 60ft time) is the 3in exhaust. With my weak mods I have run a 13.4. Unfortunately I do not have a slip to prove it. You should have really gone with the 2.5.

^ Yeah that 3" is probably robing you of alot of torque in the lower and mid range.

I have a 2.5 and love it.

I had 3" and 2.5" is deff the way to do. I felt the lost in torque when I went with the 3".
