Over on the JBody forums, there isn't much good said about any of JBP's products if that means anything at all.

well i have spent all the time im going to spend 4hrs in all f*cking with this intake. Im sending it back. I should not have to trim my ECM and Core support to fit an intake that is stupid. I just hope my header and downpipe actually fit with out "trimming". And for 280 bucks it should slide right in. but no it hits on my coolant bottle ground bolt and my hard lines for my brakes. Its like it wasnt made for a cobalt ss/sc. Very pissed off about the fitment or the lack there of.

i had to trim a bit of the engine bay to get the first intake to fit, it was still rubbing everywhere so i got the new black one they have and it wouldnt even line up, i didnt wanna start cutting the ECM, also i noticed with the first intake the breaklines had some where on them from the original intake....
the black intake would only fit if i pressed really hard on the breaklines which i wasnt prepared to do...
when i removed the piping it was sliced everywhere badly, and had a big dent in it from where it was hitting the ECM, also was buldging the fenderliner BIG TIME.
not bashing the intake, just my expieriences with it.
ive tried 3 times to install 3 different jbp intakes and now i have an injen and i couldnt be happier, hope this helps....

if you get this intake installed be prepared to replace your fender liner when yer lowered.
all 3 inch intakes do this 99% of the time.
my buddy is on his second liner thanks to his fugita.

hey distillion, did you follow the injen directions or go on your own to install it? Their directions on the website call for the entire front bumper to be removed. I dont like that idea at all....

jack the car, take the wheel off, take off the fender liner and you have the access you need.

So 3" intakes wear away the fender lining? =( I was considering the JBP intake, seriously.

Well, I do want the intake, BUT, I don't want to go through a ton of problems. Injen is my second choice. But basically, I'm not too sure what the fender lining's do. i thought it was just plastic.

the new JBP intake bulges out the inner wheelwell splash pan. that plus lowered = bad.
the splash pan needs to be reinforced at the top to prevent water from flying in. that equated to sucking water and getting cel in the rain. i am going to fab a bracket to secure the top of mine to avoid issues.
ps, i zip tied back my pcm, intead of sawing a corner off of it. i also loosened my fuse block bolts an slid it back a hair to allow more room. i also put strips of headlight protection film on wear possible areas just in case. and as the MAF pipe goes thru the hol to inner wheel area, i installd some black rubber door edge guard all the way around to avoid cutting it.
