Very impressed with my Cobalt!

Took my new Cobalt to the track today. Very very impressed with the times and mph! It was the first day for the track being open so it was pretty slick but oh well. Best time of the day was 13.97@104mph. My best mph for the day was 105.4mph! Mods are: GM stage 2, stage 3 (2.89) pulley and an AEM filter. This was with midwest air so even more impressive. My Injen CAI should be here tomorrow. Im going back next week to see what the results are. Here is a pic that I found from today.
Im in the far lane.

So in that picture who won the race? The black one or the black one?

Nice times man. Can't wait to see what the Injen does to help you out.

I was always under the impression that midwest air is good for racing since most of the midwest is only about 500 ft. above sea level. BTW, good runs!

good runs man. I wish I could have seen some low 13s,. But you are not using the nitrous from the stg 3 yet I guess. Are you planning on adding it.

AWESOME times. That is the exact number i am shooting for when the local track re-opens, but i do have one question and one point.

What do you mean by stage 3 2.89 pulley? Isn't the GM stage 3 pulley 2.99?

Don't count on the Injen helping you a whole lot. Your hi-flow filter is doing about as much work as any CAI will. Don't take my word for it though, i had a freak problem where my injen caused me to run catastrophically lean

I just have the stage 3 pulley, not the whole kit. Its a 2.89 pulley, 76mm. I just put the injen on tonight and its much louder, thats all I know.

I noticed gains with the Injen CAI. A++ for Injen CAI. Good luck next tim you go to the track, with trappin @ 105 you could hit a 13.7 or so with better traction for sure. My friend has a dodge magnum running 13.4 @ 105 but he gets like 2.0 flat 60"

76mm = 2.99 inches

Still great runs man. When do you plan on doing the dual pass plate? I just ordered the GM exhaust manifold and my dealer said that they would fully warrantee GM stage 3. So i'm gonna try and be one of the first fully warranteed mid 13 second cobalts . So you better not beat me to it!!!

The 2.89 thing came from me, that is what I was under the impression it was! Sorry Justin... my bad! I was given some false information!

I would have to agree with Stangkilr here... he'll be the first in the 12s with the factory warranty! Then me a close 2nd!!!!!
