I've got 6k miles on mine and I can spin half way through second now, and they feel like they might be slipping around a little more as well.

I need to rotate them, but I am surprised that I am having a problem with them already.

hey, 90% of the time i drive normally, I just like to drive quickly sometimes.
I have to wonder how long these tires have been on the car, before I bought it though. I think that it sat in a dealers lot for a long time before I bought it. Dont know if that makes any difference

200AA thread life doesn't last long.

I got about 20k on the tires before I had to replace them.

22K on my tires right now and it is getting pretty close to the treadwear indicatiors. I figure I am good to about 30K or 35K then I will need new ones.

I have about 9k and see no signs of giving up yet. If you don't it like tard all the time and rotate them you should get a good deal of miles out of them, not as good as most but sum what close. If I get 20k out of them I will be happy.

12k on the Pirellis and I'd be lucky to get another 5k out of 'em ... they're not really made to be high-mileage tires.

Nitto NT555's FTW! After I burned my Pirelli's these tires have held up to the test of time thru almost a full summer and part of spring with 40% still.

BTW, I have 51k Miles

I have 26,000 on the stock tires. I still have a little bit of tread left in them. You guys must burn rubber all the time. I never ever burn rubber nor do I take her through lots of twisties. i also drive like a grandma though...

A nice way to check and see how old your tires are. There is a thing called a DOT number on your tires. Look for the DOT followed by a series of 11 or 12 number/letter combo. Then at the end, the last 3 or 4 numbers tell you the tire date.

Examples:
DOT A143 C3D5 1504
or
DOT A143 C3D5 158

The first 8 digits designate the tire style, type, factory, etc. the last four are the date in weeks and year. 15th week of 2004. If three digits it is for the 90's: 15th week of 1998.

Just so you know, tires have a lifespan of 5 to 6 years. Any more and you need new tires. I replace mine at 4 years no matter what. But technically the dealer isn't supposed to let you leave the dealership with tires older than 1 year whether you bought new tires or they came on the vehicle.

My car came with the continentals, and I spin my tires to about 2500 rpms in first. 700miles on 'em.

Makes sense, I think my car was built in 10/05 and I bought it in (Guess when!) 10/06... maybe thats why the tires are wearing quickly
