My very first "brand new" car

2007 Chevy Cobalt LS
2dr Coupe
Laser Blue Metallic
4 spd Automatic

So it's not exactly the Cobalt SS/SC I wanted, but I didn't have the credit or the cabbage to go higher than 15k. I'll maybe upgrade to the SS/SC in the future.

What do you guys think of the LS?

Hey, I was in exactly your position when I got my coupe. Even though it's not an SS/SC, it's still a great car. You'll love the LS and you'll build up some good credit so you can upgrade!

Good purchase! Now, go to the CED website and order the GMPP performance exhaust, GMPP Performance Intake, and the GMPP Extrude honed manifold and you'll temporarily forget the SS/SC

Nothing wrong with an LS! Just enjoy your first new car, mod it a little, and build up that credit, just like everyone else said; thats what I'm doing.

Nothing wrong with a LS... get what you can afford, that's for sure. Make her look nice, save up some green, and maybe you can trade her in for that SS/SC later.

my first brand new car was my Cobalt LS it was a 2005. great car man. yeah its no ss/sc, which all my friends have/had(yeah a lot of modding made ss/sc's, go boom.) i mean what good about the LS is that its VERY restrictive. if u mod the car you will see alot of gains. when i put on a CAI. total difference. you will see that if u mod the car. then in October, someone totaled it. now I'm a 2.4ss. enjoy the car!

jason whitfield built a 1,000+hp 2.2L cobalt. it's not a bad car at all. anything is possible.

but to answer you question: you're at a cobalt site.lol we love your car

Nothing quite like the smell of a brand new car. I'm six months into mine and when it gets warm outside the plastic warms up and I can smell the newness again. ahhhhh.

All the cobalts have their strong points. You won't be regretting your decision looking at your dash readout and seeing -est. 36 mpg-
now go beat up on some Honda civics and 6 cyl mustangs, make us proud.

Thanks you guys. I'm glad to hear that. I'm absolutely loving my new baby! She may only be an LS but she's a looker! I've only had her two days now and EVERYONE comments! I pull up at the line in my Laser Blue Metallic and everyone takes notice.

I loved driving before I got this car, and now I've spent more time in my car the last two days than at home!
