06Blackg85ss tuned my car!

I recently installed the Intense Stage 5 kit on my car. When the dealer was doing the crank relearn the tech screwed up and reflashed the PCM back to stock Luckily 06Blackg85ss helped me out.

I had HPTuners from previously tuning my Cavalier S/C and no Turboed but did not have the time to learn how to tune the Cobalt in a few hours. The car barely ran and was PIG rich. After about 15 minutes after getting a tune the car runs absolutely perfect. No idle surging, no hesitation, no CEL's. The car feels absolutely stock, and maybe even slighty smoother. Once I get on the car though it's nasty, tears the tires up in 1st and 2nd at pretty much any speed. I'm very imnpressed with what the Stage 5 and 06Blackg85ss were able to do to a previously stock Cobalt. Thanks a ton for the help man! I highly recommend him, great guy and awesome service

So he retuned your car or just reflashed stage 5 on your car? Cause intense tunes suck ass.

Yo paul, i'm running 21 degrees of timing!!!!! on 100 of course. Still have to use the boost bypass mod though since I have no idea why my car doesnt boost without it. If you ever want to look at it to see if it's ok (because i've tweaked some things since you tuned it) just let me know.

But get this, it's only slightly faster than a gm stage 2 car with intake and catback...

hmm... I'm trying to setup a track date with some people.. I"ll let you know when I get it together if you want to meet up over there... also if you want I can send you the new tune I got going in my car.... beastin.. but not running that much timing anymore since I took the meth injection out. (no problems, just tearing the whole car apart in 2 weeks or so to go turbo on a built motor)

Yes, Paul tuned my car from scratch not the Intense Tune. I've been very pleased with the results thus far, not only that but he also is dedicated to getting me the best tune I can. I'm sending him some log files tonight and we can continue to tweak from there.

I can't express enough thanks to him. The Cobalt is my daily driver so I had to have the car up and running within a day. Like I said before I've got HPTuners and am fairly familiar with it, but I didn't have any time to learn how to tune the Cobalt. I plan to work with him to get me the best tune I can, then this summer I'll most likely play around with a few things myself.

Thanks again man!

Could you re-tune my car to use a larger throttle body?

The Intense tune stage 5 = 11* of knock on my car, and that was only up to 6500rpms! Imagine 7k!

Intense stage 5 is intended for 93-94 octane. Thats why you got so much knock.

2 octane points won't cover the 11* of knock!
