Post Swapped out NGKs for Zex plugs, Pics!

Just installed some Zex one step colder plugs. Car runs very smooth.
I get tuned tomorrow so why not swap them out now. Muhaha

I liked the NGKs (BKR7E) too but they are a year old so it's time to change them.

The pic of the NGK plug is what all the plugs looked like. So that is a 1 year old NGK plug.

Just incase people wanted to try Zex plugs the model number is #82003-4 Here is a link.

I just installed these plugs too. Car runs smooth as a baby's ass. I had two step colder NGKs gapped at .35 and my first and second cyclinders kept misfiring....and causing CEL P0300 code.

Installed the ZEX plugs and now problem is gone! Worth the price too!

I nocitced a little difference in the idle when I switched over. Seems that the power is coming out smoother too.

hmm those ZEX look nice man... good deal so now I don't have to worry about a fouled plug or something screwing up tomorrow.. lol.
FYI though I"ve been running the NGK brke8ix's and never have once thrown a missfire code..
I don't think I"ve ever even had the car go into limp mode come to think of it...
but I"ve heard good things about the ZEX plugs, actually ordering a set for the lincoln whenever my nitrous kit makes it's way over here..

and Denny... hows the car running? still waiting for you to send me some logs of WOT.

good **** man... yeah you def need that stage II belt... even with the adjustable tensioner the belt stretches... got me after a few runs the snout would heat up and the belt would stretch I wouldn't see more than 14 lbs of boost with the 2.6

How the hell you gap those plugs or are they pre-gapped? Also where's the cheapest place to get ZEX plugs? I get some knock with the BKR7Es and am eager to try the zexs out to see if the knock situation is helped.

They come pre-gapped. Just pop them in. I'm hoping these Zex plugs cure the knock gremlin too.

Well I went ahead and ordered a set myself. Kinda pissed that I got them from summitracing.com and got ripped off. I was looking on another thread about zex plugs and clicked the link there failing to realize it's 2 different links....coulda got them 15 bucks cheaper from that ebay site! Oh well, that's what I get for being in a hurry. Man I hope these little buggers remedy my knock...

It's kinda funny there have been a few of us singing the praises of these plugs for quite some time...

Yes they are pre gapped. Don't gap them. Put them in as is.

Well I got tuned today. The car runs very strong now.

The Zex plugs worked out great. I have 0 knock only phantom knock during downshifts.

I'll see if 06blackg85ss can post some screen shots.

I haven't done the biger H/E yet. I'm thinking the end of April or so.
Yeah bro 06blackg85ss has a very nice 2.9 tune file saved now.
I would talk to him about that. Like night and day. No boggy 2nd gear anymore.

Yep, ebay is the spot for these plugs. I just romped the car like 6 runs and they performed perfectly.

P.S. Johnboy, get them.
