The lowering springs pro kit sounds like a great mod, however a coil over system would be much better correct? The reason why I ask is because of price. Not only does it lower your car but it will launch better because of a lower center gravity? I'm looking to get off the line quicker and 300 bucks would not be a bad price tag to help me get off the line. Any comments?

Coilover would be a better way to go because you change change the ride height of your car which would change the amount of wieght on each wheel.

I do not carry anything in stock myself at this location as of right now, however i do have warehouses that DO stock them.

I have the same question......also with the sport and pro can our stock struts and shocks handle the springs and do so reliably? Also is the sport so agressive we will be damaging the car in normal driving*over speed bumps dips ect...*

The Stock Struts and Shocks will handle it. Eibach manufacture's its springs with the Stock OEM parts in mind.

As for the Speed Bumps and dips, if you hit a speed bump going relatively fast...you might get a bit of a scrape. Dips, depending on the severity of the dip.

You got to keep in mind that these only drop your car at most 2".


As for the other question, I will find out.

i have the sportlines on my car right now with stock struts, etc. ive had them on for a good 7-8 months now with no problems at all. the only thing is you have to be careful when you park in parking lots not to pull up to far cause it will scrape those concrete curb things, as well as sidewalks. also, bumps are a little rougher now, just have to go slow over speed bumps or it really hurts :lol: although it doesnt damage the car at all

Hey TCarter what is the drop on SS/SC cars with the pro and sport kits? Also I am in only when you get the required amount of people to receive the discount. I do not want to pay for something and then get screwed.

Is the pro kit even worth it if you have the SS/SC? I mean what advantage other then the .5 drop on the rear do you get.

Also would folks think that putting on the sport would help with traction issues on a modified SS/SC *GM Stage 2 plus 2.9 plus dual by pass ect..*

Will I need an alignment after installing new springs?

it is always recommended getting your car re alligned after doing anything with the suspension.

However, im sure alot of members will chime in. If you take you time, and dont mess it up...you wont have to get it aligned.

As for the .5" drop, its amazing what a 1" drop will make your car look like.

Check the first post. If you have the ss/sc is it 0 front and .5 rear for the pro

the sport with the ss/sc is 1.0 front and 1.3 for the rear.

The sport for other Cobalt models.

Cobalt LS/LT/LTZ -
Front - 2" drop
Rear - 2.5" drop

Hey man what wheel and tire package are you runnin'? It looks sweet, and I want to be sure I can run 225/40R18's or maybe even 235/40R18's tires on the sport springs.

Are the anti-roll kits really worth it on the front? Is the rear bigger then the progress sway bar?

Anybody see any abnormal tire wear with the sport springs?

225/40/18's will fit for sure with sport, but what atbou 235/40/18's or am I going too wide for our cars even without the sport springs?

I read the suspension basics 101 thread and it sounds like putting the sportline springs on the SS/SC would require struts at some point since it would be putting so much pressure on. Also sounds like we are SOL for now in the aftermarket on struts......makes me wish I had moola for coil-overs now......maybe I'll have to start saving.....unless someone can dispute this with some facts or experience.

Okay, I just got off the phone with Eibach and they confirm that the Anti-Roll kits are in fact NOT available yet. They don't expect them until July. You might want to confirm with your suppliers what he is talking about.

Dude, struts are on the front of our cars and shocks are on the rear, I had a Grand Am with Struts all around, yes the idea is similar but they work and install a little differently.

I asked about it being better for the SS/SC because I also see the Koni available for the standard 'balts as well. There are products out there that upgrade the standard 'balt but not so much for the SS/SC.

Thanks for the feedback that tells me I'll probably want to install the Koni's when I install the Sportlines.
