I just wanted to post up how happy I am with my TAG stage 1 kit.

For those who don't know it includes 2.86" pulley, 60# injectors, NGK racing plugs and their computer flash with 7200rpm redline.

Anyways, with just the TAG kit and an Injen CAI my car made 247whp and 228ft-lbs of torque in 4th gear on 17psi of boost. For fun we did a run in 3rd gear since that is a more relevent gear for everyday/highway driving at put down 263whp and 231ft-lbs of tq.

Even with the added performance and bigger injectors I still averaged 33.5mpg or 7.0l/100km going 75mph or 120kmh. (pictured below)

Bottom line is this is an amazing value (significantly cheaper than price I was quoted on GM stage 2 from my dealership) and really woke up my stock Balt.

In closing Mel, Mase and the crew do awesome work and put in some sick hours making these cars fast. I spent the day at the shop observing and whatnot and they worked from 8:00am to 12:30am (16.5 hour work day).

Thanks TAG.

Yeah, just did, found this.

So would they be able to just send me the tune through HP Tuners, so I dont have any down time or have to put a deposit on a pcm?

Great Deal!! Just swayed my decicion on Stage 2.

TAG FTW (That would be a great license plate, lol)

It is a super sweet deal, the money I saved over GM stage 2 I can now use for the TAG motor mounts they have coming out.

Im not sure tune options, fire them off an email or pm one of their reps like Mase.

That plate would be funny.

finally your car has some balls LOL
the best thing about tag is that the R@D EVERYTHING before they release a product, the have helped make my car the way it is, and mase and mel are a wizards of dyno tuning, when the a/f gauges come in thats when a lil more funs starts, im glad im associated with tag and can help them out when ever i can since they have done wonders for me, its the least i can do even if my clutch does start to slip while mel is hammering it on the dyno LOL, atleast that tells me the car is makin power ;)

Awesome numbers:twothumbs Good job TAG! 7.0L/100km is OUT OF THIS WORLD....!! Thats better then stock...34# injectors. How?!?

Now your with 60# injectors making more power and using lot less fuel....Am blown away by this.

Could it be possible that your car is running somewhat on the lean side?

I could be wrong here but the big difference from your HP and Torque are making it look like the tune is running more on the lean side....

WOT im seeing 11.4-11.6 afr, they did 8 dyno runs making sure everything is solid.

yeah i just recently got their kit as well, except i provided my own pulley for it. they still tuned it for MY pulley and deducted the cost of a pulley from the cost of the kit. i can feel a HUGE difference in power and the car feels great under normal conditions.
Mase was a HUGE help when i went to the dealer to get my case learn done on the new computer. he is the reason my car started up, haha! overall, i HIGHLY recommend this kit for anyone interested in an upgrade.

I'm gonna say thats not accurate. Altering the pcm fuel tables would skew the DIC calculations.

Interesting theory, I'll report back after a few tanks and see. I've gone 200kms to the half tank at the moment, which is around what I used to do stock (I'm all city driving).

Regardless of the fuel economy the car is faster which is why I went to TAG.

Depends on what the car uses to figure fuel consumption. I know my DIC is off from what actual milage is. If the car is measuring injector firing, then it is assuming a stock size injector, which fires about 2/3 as much fuel in the same time. In theory though, at cruise speeds fule economy should remain the same, there is no more power being used, so you shouldn't need any more fuel.

Hey Toronto_SS, how much of your warranty does this void? Just wondering, cuz I'm torn between getting a TAG Stage 2 kit or the GM Stage 2 kit. I'm currently leasing my car, but I will most probably buy it out in the end...and I have a 5 year/160,000km warranty on it, so I don't know whether it would be worth it for me to deviate from the GM kits and GM parts. What do you guys think?

I would say I've pretty much scrapped the drivetrain coverage. If something major goes wrong I've kept all my stock parts and I would return to stock then go in for warranty work.

The only thing giving away that my car isnt stock is the 5 bolt pulley hub... I dont think many GM techs know very much about these cars so Im gonna go in for a parking break adjustment and a few other small things and see if they notice.

The GM kit is definitely safer warranty wise but it is also slower.

someone who went the aftermarket route....is happy with it....and doesnt try and convince people that is covered under warranty, and talk down on GM stage 2.

Looks like some great power.

Have you guys installed this yourselves, or did you have a shop install the Tag Stage I? I am really close to buying it myself!

I wish I was in the GTA area, I'm in BC. I guess my only tuning option is paying the $450 USD deposit.... OUCH.
