What Happens When You Break An Axle

What Happens When You Break An Axle. Is It Just The Axle Or Does The Axle Fly Around And Break Everything Else?

It kinda depends on where it breaks at, a common place is snaping off at the cv joint.

You get a big ****** mess with the axel oil/grease ****. And it might damage some other things in your suspension depending on where the break is, it could also damage your rims.

Yeah that grease takes forever to cleanup! I had to do it twice too! The first time was due to an axle breaking, and the second was due to the clamp breaking allowing all the grease out of the boot!

I went through 3 sets of stock axles, warrantee kept replacing them for me, now they have that bullshit thing that they like to use against us.. they call it abuse. Anyway get the Driveshaft Shop Stage 2 axles. I love them. Have yet to have a problem besides me ripping a boot, but they are awesome and they sent me a new one in like a day and I put that bitch on. But the last time I snapped the axle, I also snapped the transaxle mount into pieces because the axle flung into it on the launch at the track. have fun cleaning up the grease.

I plan to get the DSS, and never test this thoery, my car wont see the dragstrip until it has them, traction bars, solid mounts, and a stronger clutch

I also need a special helmet as well

Snell approved helmets aren't that "special" any good motorcycle helmet should work.
