"Water" spot on Valve Cover

This photo was taken back in November. Notice the wet spot on the valve cover:

Well, when I last washed my car (about a week ago) with a power washer... I took the power washer to the engine bay and gave her a quick rinse... first time I've done that. Needless to say, while under the hood today it's a lot worse... the wet spot covers a much larger surface area. I'm not too sure what it is or what to do about it. It's not spilled oil... because I've never spilled oil on top of my engine. I'll try and remember to take a picture tomorrow when the sun is up. Non of pictures from tonight came out well enough.

Basically, I'm asking if anyone knows what it is, what it's from, if its bad, etc. Thanks!

Mine looks worse than that. Don't worry about it. The only thing under neath that bolt on plate are the coil packs and spark plugs.

I'm aware his plugs and coils are under there, but so it whatever is making the wet spot. It will give a better idea as to the source.

Stressful day at work. Hopefully I'll get around to it tomorrow. I think I am going to rip out the Hood Mat as well. You never know... maybe it's coming from that. Hopefully, I'll find out tomorrow.
