I've already tried 2 o2 simulators to get that CEL to go away so i can go in and out of the dealer without troubles or stupid question. (gonna bring it in because my sunroof switch surrounding plastic fell when i hit a bump and my switch won't go back into postion, POS parts :thumbsdow )
I've already tried the cheap circuit method to modify the 02 sensor signal, but that didn't work, my CEL came on a half an hour after i started it up when i was testing it by revving it a bit. I talked to the guy at autozone to check my codes again to make sure they were exhaust related, which they were, and he said he used an electrical o2 simulator, but had to replace it every couple months. I'm hoping what he said isn't true cause thats a good $20 and a pain to wire up.
I also tried the mechanical 02 simulator, using the double plug defouler method. Problem was that with an XTC downpipe, the bung placement is horrible and the o2 sensor in no way fits under the car with the added spacing.
I was wondering if anyone offered a mechanical o2 sensor (like the defoulers), but with a 90 degree elbow or if anyone has had any luck with electrical simulators. I feel like a retard already spending about $30 trying to trick my ecu with no luck, input is much appreciated.
