Car in shop New motor comeing in

Well yesterday i was going to pass somebody on the hwy and then went to hit the brakes to slow down then the car just up and dies so im still cruseing some and put the car in neutral and try to restart the car and nothing.

get car to side of the highway and my cooling fans wont turn on and car hits 207 temp on guage cluster.

let car cool down go to start it up after i get it to about 185 temp and car starts but idles rough so i give it a small ammount of gas to hit 1k and then i slowly let off gas to let it idle and then nothing car dies.

repeated process and it did it again and so at this time i call dealership at 4 something and they got me a tow they was not able to look at it cause it was after hours they got me a rental a 2006 chevy silvarado quad cab.

they looked at car today and i called them asking how its going about the car and they said that gm is going to replace the motor so we shall see where this goes. hopefully this motor lasts better then last one they had to replace the intake gasket for the problems it was having with the dipstick poping out and making all the oil leave the engine i replaced 1 day 6qts of oil and took it in and they fixed it. i just hope this is not the begining of the end of the motor.

lets see how long it takes them to get the motor in and replaced im already missing my car

later

Thats kinda unusual. Anyone else have a bottom-end problem while stock?? Maybe it was a friday engine.

yea deff freaky..but I guess they know something since they didint waste time to warranty your car and switch the motor.

Also have you been really hard on the car? or nothing to major? Theres a difference from Beating up a car and driving a car hard.
