So my dealer installed my stage 2 and exhaust yesterday morning. They got done with it at 11:30, then tried to do the computer reflash, but when they called it in they found out that the code they got with the kit was invalid. So in effect, I don't get my car til Monday. Is there anyone here who knows a general code or knows what to do to get a code for it so I could get my friends at the dealership to be able to flash it today, or am I SOL?

 

SOl... each kit has it's own code.

 

Well, they got ahold of someone in Detroit who supposedly has a general code. So I know a general code exists. I guess I just have to be patient. They did swap out my PT cruiser that I was driving for an Impala, so that is good.

 

I'm having a similar issue now. Stage 2 was finished and just the reflash then poof - it doesnt work. Apparently the dealership can't communicate with GM 's server or something. Called the customer service line and they said "probably it might be back up maybe monday but I have no idea what a Tech II or PCM flash is", so that was helpful....

The tech / shop manager wanted me to take the car with the injectors and pully installed, but with the stock tune, until they are ready for me to come get it flashed to Stage 2. I didn't think that would be a good idea, driving around a car tuned for 32s with 42s in them, and more air coming in than it knows what to do with - so yeah......my baby is sitting in the garage until the tech 2 thingy starts working again.

 

Did you purchase the kit from a dealer? Or was it an opened kit from someone?

the dealer called it in as they are supposed to and they got the VIC, but their computers can't connect to GM or something
