Well I Just got my wheels back from the stealership. They sent them out to be refinished after a few months of arguing. My Coby got hit with the flaking wheel bug. Anyway as i said they sent them out to be refinished and I was told that they will not cover the finish on the wheels under warranty any more . Needless to say this upset me. From the beginning I have been asking for them to swap them out for the chrome wheels off of an 07 but they continually give me the run around. Even though the wheel look 1000000X better then they did new I'm still concerned about the durability of the finish. I can't complain about my stelership too much they have done everything they could it's their Regional Service Manager who's being the douche bag and saying no. Well I'm done ranting. Here's a few pics of the new finish on the wheels. I borrowed a picture from someone else for a side by side comparison of stock and the refinished ones.

I do like it, the vinly sticker though watch out it might make your car a bigger target for theft or something dumb. But the rims look good and I like the Orange

 

yea i think I'll be alright as far as theft goes. first off i live in one of the nicest area's in Pittsburgh and second i have onstar if they steal it I'll hopefully be able to track it lol

besides you can't even see it unless you are sitting in a car behind me. if you are standing next to the car it is unnoticeable

my rims are actually starting to chip to im going to the dealership on monday to ask about it

 

demand that they send them out. if they refinish them in their body shop they will look like ****! there is a kid who had them done in the stealership's body shop that look like a 5 year old spray painted them. tell them you want a warranty beyond the 3 year/36,000 bumper to bumper.

 

Find out who they sent your wheels to and get a copy of the invoice if you can. The company that refinished them should have a warranty to cover them. In my area (northern Illinois), Keystone and Transwheel do most wheel refinishing and will both stand behind their service.

yea i have a copy of the invoice and they have a lifetime warranty against cracking and peeling. However, if the wheels chip because the tires are too stiff they will not cover them which is what has me worried (everyone here who has gunmetal wheels should be worried too). when they removed the stock Pirelli's at the dealership to send them out they said they chipped the **** outta the rims and had to send them out to get mounted because they couldn't do it without chipping the wheels.

Kelly Chevrolet in Butler. They only agreed to it after I called GM Customer Care on them because they needed the Regional Service Manager to get involved.

 

I was just wondering cuz the dealership i go through up here is really good about stuff like that...havnt had this problem but they have been real good with whatever i throw at them...cars actually going in this week for stage II, recall fix, and some warranty stuff on my interior.
