I want to know what the Cobalt can do!

There is a thread on here with ALL the quarter times as well as mods done to the vehicles. If I find it, I will post for you. I do know that the fastest bone stock so far was 14.1 and there were a couple peeps that posted that. Our Cobeys are TRULY capable of high 13's with soley suspension/wheel hop mods.

Here ya go. This is sticky'd so you can find it pretty easily.

On ************** they are saying that stock srt-4s are capeable of 13.6 so I think there has to be someone getting better than a 14.1 but I do believe you I have seen people on here with high 14s even 15s it makes me so angry!!

Umm, why? Not every driver is perfect and not every run is perfect and our cars aren't necessarily designed to drag race. They are more of an auto cross/ road course car.

I've seen a high 15 lol. It's really the supercharger and it's instant boost that's killing our times....If we were turbocharged, I bet you there would be a lot more drivers that have better times stock. People need to start using the boost limit feature in first gear with hptuners, or get the driver mod

I agree with you are cars are made for auto cross its just these quarter mile times are why people dog in the cobalt so much and I do know that people have bad runs but they are posting those numbers as their best runs and I know the car can do much better than that. When I see those times it makes me ashamed of my car, I have raced many many 14 second cars and killed them.

2.5 pulley, header, downpipe, catback, intake, 60 lb injectors, tune, no cooling mods, and 7400 rpms which helps out....but that was with a 2.2 60 foot so with dr's or slicks im hoping for 13 flat maybe even 12.9 (crossing fingers)

if you are worried about what other people think about your car and you are comparing it to SRT-4 1/4 mile times, then you are not in the right mindset.

This car is not going to be a 1/4mile monster.... but that being said, it is capable of fast times. low 14's for stock is GOOD (i dont see where you got the misconception that a time like that is embarrasing). With the mods in your sig, and good driving, you should see mid 13's.

If you want to run a "13.6 Stock" then you should have bought an srt-4

The site admins here are so low that they block the URL's to other sites relating to cobalts? That is really lame.

I wasn't saying low 14s was embarasing but I think 15s are, even if this car isn't made for drag. Thats not all I worry about, but there really isn't any other kind of tracks out here. Its not like 1/4 mile time is all that matters to me but everyone wants theirs to be faster and even if our cars aren't as fast as an SRT-4 in my opinion they are still my pick actually I pick this car over an STI and an EVO but maybe I'm crazy.
