104 mph on River road in my 2007 Cobalt LS

Speaking of top ends, what is the Cobalt's top end like for each model? I read somewhere that at 109 mph the Cobalt LS has a governor? Is that true? What's the fastest you've all gone?

Ive hit like 135 in my ss/sc on 795 when it was empty at like 3 in the morning, racing my friends Jetta

 

225 km/h

 

399km/h in my quad charged hemi ss/sc cobalt

 

I got up to 147mph. The governor didn't hit yet either.

 

146mph during the day in my ss s/c (no cars around)

143mph 3:33am in north carolina on my voyage to south carolina

both on the highway

 

umm maxxed out the spedo. it only goes to 140, so dont really know how fast i was really going, in my ss, auto

 

barried the needle. id say about 145-150. there was no traffic and it was on a highway. so yeah thats safe enough

and 152 the other day empty highway where we were at the time of the day on sunday we raced from a 25 i got up to 152 and my buddy hit the mph marker on his wrx spedo which is after the 140 hehe

 

148 on a 55 road.....and got pulled over...about a 2weeks later my license was revocated... till june this year...

Hit bounced off govener @ 155 MPH. Had plenty of RPMS to go too in 5th.

4th gear @ 7000 RPMs takes you up to about 147 MPH before you have to shift into 5th.

Havent gone over 100 in quite a while since.

125 Chasing after a Jetta on Route 30, would been faster but was coming up on one lane contrustion....

 

120. i did it once. i dont like going faster than 100 unless i need to put a ricer in their place.

i drive on public rodways.. so about 75mph is my tops

 

He posted a video of himself street racing and doing insane speeds. Not so long later he was street racing and split an old ladies car in half and killed her.

The next thing you know he's in "pound me in the ass" prison.

You guys seriously should watch what you say on the internet because it can and WILL be used against you.

I never speed if there are other cars on the road. Never. My two top speeds there at the start of this thread were both with empty roads for as far as the eye can see in both directions.

What is the governor set at in an '07 Cobalt LS? I read it was 109, is that true?
