Really can't go wrong with either in my opinion. But I would choose black. Those are nice rims. Can't wait to see them on your ride. Don't forget to post pics, you know the rules here.
Not to rain on anyones parade here (and I know someones gonna bicker at me for saying this), but Motegi Touges are meant for RWD cars. Touge= a drift racing circuit/mountain pass. Those wheels were designed by Motegi as an affordable alternative to drifters who can't afford the fancier and much higher priced Volks, Advans, 5-zigens, SSR's, Wed Sport, etc etc wheels. I mean, sure, if they make the correct bolt pattern for your car, I guess you could put them on. But like i've said before about these same wheels in another post.........just b/c you can, dosen't mean you should.
And just in case you think im full of it for some reason (I used to formely drift an 88 RX-7 btw, as it was my previous car), this is pulled directly off Motegi's website.
"Motegi's first purpose-built drifting wheel, the Touge (toe-gaa), is named after the famous Japanese mountain passes where the sport of drifting was born. Featuring a glossy painted center and diamond cut lip, or completely chrome finish, the Touge was designed to withstand the rigors of racing sideways. Carry on the tradition by dominating the track. The Touge is available in 17" and 18" applications in gun metal, glossy black and bronze. The wheel can be seen in action on AEMs Honda S2000 and Nissan 350Z drift cars"

actually, thats not at ALL what im saying. Motegi is a purely American brand, hence why I said they are a price friendly alternative to the more expensive JDM/Japanese wheels, b/c unlike the big name Japanese wheels, there is no inflated cost to Motegi's b/c they aren't coming from overseas to begin with. The point im trying to get across, is that they are designed to be RWD wheels, for cars such as 350Zs', RX-8s, 240SXs, S2000s........not for FWD wheels like our Cobalts. Thats all im saying.
actually most rear wheel drive cars have close to the same offsetting as the front wheel drive cars now. i called American Racing about these wheels a few months ago and they said they would fit on a front wheel drive car as long as the back spacing was correct. unfortunately they are not made in the 5X110 pattern and they have no plans to make them in that size. they come in black, gun metal, and bronze.
do you think gunmetal would look on my red cobalt? i have black halo's and black tint on my car so i don't know if i should go gunmetal or black...
any rubbing at all?
