Best way to interface
its an OBDII port. and they actually sell a cable that you can hook up to a usb port and to the OBDII port. Im pretty sure you need some sort of software to data log anything, but i have no idea whats availible.
you'll a scanner that is CAN protocal capable. I just use hptuners for all of my scanning now...theres between 100-300 scanable parameters from vehicle to vehicle...everything from throttle position, to commanded air fuel ratio, etc.
downloading won't do much good...no matter the product you buy you'll need both the hardware & software to go with it to make it functional. The hardware basically is the communication between your laptop & the pcm.
