not trying to talk junk, just when someone says "i pulled a stock civic ex with an intake by like 3 cars" thats not saying too much....

as a honda owner, i take pride in an import performance scene. wether its domestic or foreign, i can appreciate a well tuned car. but i have to stand up and offer a different side of the honda label...

and vtec vs ecotec? tit for tat i guess...i just know the options of ecu management/tuning and different programs for modding, ie Uberdata, Hondata, Chrome, Spoon, etc...

I get what you're saying, but still, saying things like VTEC > Ecotec, will turn people around very fast. They both have there ups and downs.

yeah, hondas hold their value very very well, and if they're modded (PROFESSIONALLY...) it only adds to the value.

there's one civic on my site (www.clubcivic.com) that is the same model as mine, for sale for $12k.... turbo'd h22...pushing close to 600whp...and can be daily driven.

I got my B18 swapped CRX for $380, runs and drives great, no rust, no accidents, lots of aftermarket parts (DC Header, Eibach Springs, Stainless Exhaust)

I guess you could say i'm one lucky *******

theres plenty of honda forums to stoke your ego about how great vtec is...your on a gm small car fourm...meaning ecotecs abroad,

all those tuning programs, of course you have more support..civics have been around since early to mid 70's if memory serves me right, their the most modded cars in the world...go to any high school parking lot and you will see modded civics, and btw you only need one tuning source to get the job done

even if your were not "trying to talk junk" ..you were

yah...i guess i'm a hypocrit...being that i chose to mod and build an engine w/o vtec....i'm anti -tec. imo, cars were making great power before computer controlled power and will make power after.

i found that with light mods, the vtec engine will make more power, but with the depth that i was taking the build, a non-vtec engine would respond better...

eh...

and you wanna know how much it cost to make that? A reliable turbo h22 is gonna cost a pretty penny. Plus, unless it actually sells for 12k, its not worth 12k. Remember, its only worth as much as someone is willing to pay.

I wasn't accusing you of being a hypocrit. I was just stating my opinion. My mistake for doing so.
