Exclamation new 07 for under 18k?

I need a huge favor from all of tou chevy car salesman. I want a cobalt ss/sc very very badly but I have a dilemma. My price range is only 17500. I was wondering if you could give me some ways to talk the price down this low on a new 07. I live in the tampa area if that helps. I plaan on buying not leasing. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.

If you find one or order one with no options it's a possibility. Other then that you would have to find a used one.

I get the gm employee discount also. So I know that will help alot.

I just found a used 05' with 19895 miles on it and the dealer is asking $15980. Is this a good deal considering its an 05?

I think you'll be hard pressed to find an '07 SS/SC for under 17k. I recently got my '06 SS/NA for about that price and I had to haggle like crazy to get them to go that low... The SS/SC stickers for about 2k more than the SS/NA... Your GM employee discount will help a bit... Did you think about maybe financing the car? That'll leave you with a bit more wiggle room in the price tag and still not bust the bank.

Its better than whats in Wyoming...there is an 05 with just over 20K miles on it in town and the dealership is asking $18500.

Got mine out the door for 18600 with LSD and 6 cd changer and i had no employee discount. Got 0% APR for three years too. I got the car for edmunds invoice price. If you ask for invoice and they show it to you on the computer they add on over $500. I also got 1k from a rebate and my aunt have me her 3k in gm points. If i was you i would print out the invoice price wit all your options and tell them thats the price you want. Tell them bout your discount after you finalize the price.

I am a salesman at a dealership and getting the GM employee discount I got my SS/SC for 21K tax title and liscense. Mines dosent have limited slip but it does have the heated seats sunroof and premium 7 speaker sound system, your only luck to get one for under 18k is try like hell to find a used 06 or 05. Good luck man and if i come across something i shall let you know!

When you print out the invoice it tells you what price you can buy the vehicle for. It is a set price not a discount. There is no negotiating the employee price.
