believe it or not i bought this car before i even saw it, much less drove it. i wanted a fast car that didnt cost a bundle and all my research led me to the cobalt, the uber color is just a bonus. but it does make me wonder why they feel this paint is worth 300 bucks more then all the rest

Yes its true that is $300.00 extra cost paint, I was the very first one to have it on here on my 2.4 SS sedan. I'm also the first to have it in MD and so far the only one with it on a SS sedan! WOO HOO! Go me! I ordered my car with it back in August of 06 and it came in Sept 1st!
Its my favorite color too cause it looks so damn good! Congrats on the new car and your gonna love owning it! Oh and welcome BTW.

Its called tint coat cause its a transparent color. This is a three stage paint, stage one is a metallic silver color, stage two is the red tint coat, stage three is the clearcoating.
Its also why it costs $300.00 more and its the first year its offered outside the Cadillac line up.

I drove that color for my test drive, 07 was first year on SSC for it as jackalope said
the problem i had with the car i test drove was it had the red leather int. and god it was ugly in that car. holding the door open you really saw how bad the 2 colors worked together it was a really bad combo! i do like the color sharp!

and i have noticed i have a small wing, i guess i will just have to deal with what the good lord gave me....
but if anyone asks i am going to lie and say i thought i would get less speeding tickets with a small spoiler..
