That's not a bad fine... I in California I hear they impound and then CRUSH the car... no matter if you have it paid for or not.

Here in PA, I know they can impound the car, but not sure how ling.

I know you DO lose your DL for a while ( maybe a year )

Also... what does the modding your car have to do with racing it?

If illegal street racing is the only thing motivating you to mod your car, then you need to find another hobby.

In MD it gets your license GONE, your car GONE (impounded and you CAN NOT get it back) and 22 points, not to mention the other fines and court costs. Cry me a river! Sounds like you guys are getting a taste of what we've had for years and years.

Not scared of that. If you race on the street that's a risk your going to have to take. I think theres close to 5-10 ppl in Markham/Richmondhill area that have had there car's towed this week, because the police think that the cars are too dangerous (been modded above normal). They are towing the cars, which are now subject to inspection and cannot be plated until inspected. sucks I know

Forgot to add that the people who got there cars towed were not even involved in street racing for that matter.

No like gone forever! They auction it off and they don't tell you when the aution is so you have no chance of getting your car back.

And in Cali the judge can order you to not only be present for your cars crushing but they make you push the button that crushes your own car! Thats harsh to the 10th power if you ask me.

Wow cali is strict but you also have to take into account the number of people that street race there so they have to do something about it.

Well the thing is that the population is so much higher now then back then so its a bigger problem.
