jasonaudio 05-20-2007, 11:53 PM ^^ You've got a PM.
HackAbuse 05-20-2007, 11:53 PM It will
BlackSS05 05-20-2007, 11:58 PM i dont have a pm but ok if it will work lol.
Moza13- 05-21-2007, 12:29 AM im definately interested, but i was wondering if you would answer a few questions.
-It will help a lot not hurt at all right?
-when it says set back to stock or performance, it means it acts like its not even there?
-What will it all help, like i know it will make more firm shifts, but can i still like use my pedal to shift it where i want it to like i do now?
HackAbuse 05-21-2007, 12:42 AM -It will help a lot not hurt at all right?
Cavy guys have reported it working well past 100k witout problems
-when it says set back to stock or performance, it means it acts like its not even there?
Correct
-What will it all help, like i know it will make more firm shifts, but can i still like use my pedal to shift it where i want it to like i do now?
I don't know what you mean
jasonaudio 05-21-2007, 12:58 AM ^^^ Thank you much!
Moza13- 05-21-2007, 01:04 AM lol aight ill prolly order one up tomorrow, im too tired to right now
HackAbuse 05-21-2007, 01:07 AM ^^^ Thank you much!
Anytime, If you didn't know already, I'm the original tester to experiment and confirm that this device works on cobalts, so I probably know better than most people lol
Good luck with sales
ReggaeRampage 05-22-2007, 10:55 PM Just ordered them. Let me know if you need anything else.
OrngBalt 05-22-2007, 11:11 PM DAMNIT!!! I just ordered one this afternoon! Oh well... Hack... did you ever get anywhere with making your custom 3rd and 4th stages?
shortyheldberg 05-22-2007, 11:23 PM HACK,
I thought it was kind of odd I remember you were the tester a long time ago you started to throw me off then you beat me to the punch and posted you were the tester
HackAbuse 05-22-2007, 11:45 PM DAMNIT!!! I just ordered one this afternoon! Oh well... Hack... did you ever get anywhere with making your custom 3rd and 4th stages?
I tried it bu i couldnt make anything of it. The B&M doesnt appear to use resistance.
Spanky's Monkey 05-23-2007, 02:22 AM i'm in, can't wait.
where do i order?
jasonaudio 05-23-2007, 01:16 PM ^^ You've got a PM.
Spanky's Monkey 05-23-2007, 01:37 PM mine is on it's way.....muhahahahaha
monkeiboy 05-23-2007, 01:50 PM what does this do exactly. will it work with the 2.4 ss? its not listed on the site. where do you install and such. more info!
yes. I tagged on my lines. The setup "may" be a little different than in the LS/LT balts, because I had a little trouble finding the gray plug into the auto tranny as described in Hackabuse's How to thread. I posted a picture in Hack's original thread for where it's located.
I've had mine on for a few months, no problems.
biniecki 05-23-2007, 04:52 PM Ordered mine today. Cant wait to get it. I already know where I'm going to put the switch as long as it will fit.
Spanky's Monkey 05-27-2007, 02:20 AM okay i got it but i'm clueless as to the install. first off where the hell is the pcm and the instructions don't list our transmission so i dodn't want to start messing with the wrong wires. yo hack i need your help.
HackAbuse 05-27-2007, 04:11 AM look for my how to
use search
Spanky's Monkey 05-27-2007, 10:30 AM yeah after i posted that newb-ass question i found it. thanks.
Spanky's Monkey 05-27-2007, 10:37 PM yeah baby, quick and painless install and i like the shifts on stage 2. you feel it on stage 1 but it just doesn't feel as right. i was running 1/2 to 3/4 throttle. can't wait for a chance to try a full on assualt at wot, no traction control. thanks jason you got a fan for life and hack its been said but thanks for being the test monkey.
biniecki 05-29-2007, 12:11 PM I should be getting mine today and installing it this afternoon. I'll let everyone know what i think about it after i try it
c0baltic 05-29-2007, 12:16 PM lol it's about time someone did something like this.. that other thread has been around so long and after everyone reading it you'd think they'd run right out and buy one
biniecki 05-29-2007, 06:58 PM I got mine today as suspected. The install was quite simple like everyone had said. Stage 1 is just amazing as far as how firm it is. 1-2 is slightly better, 2-3 is amazing, and 3-4 was slightly better. As for stage 2 is was a little too jerky for my taste so i didn't really keep it on for very long to get a real good feel for it. Stage 2 i will probably only use for racing.
OrngBalt 05-29-2007, 10:05 PM Did my install this afternoon and took it out for a test drive. Definitely feel the difference and I don't know if its just me but it seems like my RPM's went higher to normal and then shifted hard. It got a few looks on the highway, especially from a Eclipse driving by, but with my tints and louvered windows i've only added about 15HP so I don't think I am ready to take him on :lol::lol::lol:
HackAbuse 05-29-2007, 11:29 PM You can take older base model eclipses, talons, lasers, and avengers. Trust me :twothumbs
jasonaudio 06-01-2007, 01:51 AM There are only 5 left at this pricing. Please post here or PM me for ordering details.
OrngBalt 06-01-2007, 09:46 PM Yo guys, anyone with an auto NEEDS to definitely pick this up. I installed mine earlier this week and what a difference, even on stage 1. I put it to stage 2 and used the Launch Technique (read about on here :-D) and chirped the tires as it upshifted..
I chirped on an upshift with a BONE STOCK COBALT!
c0baltic 06-04-2007, 12:30 PM ^^ NICE.. i Chirp with mine all the time i have tha autotrans interceptor.. i have a video on here somewhere where you can hear me chirp 2nd ... its deffanitly a must have for any AUTO
biniecki 06-04-2007, 12:35 PM I tried mine on stage 1 this morning and was able to get the tires to slip going into 2nd and 3rd. I have a softer compound tire so they don't chirp very much.
c0baltic 06-04-2007, 12:55 PM you wont be able to chirp 3rd. but 2nd only at WOT and it also depends on the road.. on rough roads it will be hard..
OrngBalt 06-04-2007, 12:55 PM I chirped 2nd on a regular street. Haven't tried third...
c0baltic 06-04-2007, 01:03 PM Throw it into Low gear and launch on that hold at WOT after your get into second throw the shifter in drive.. thats how i chirp 2nd ... with that you may wanna look into getting a tranny cooler since you are putting more fluid preqasure into the tranny causeing more heat.. a tranny cooler is about $45 and well worth it with this mod
OrngBalt 06-04-2007, 01:15 PM I am already looking into one. Have you done one yet? BTW what part of LI you from?
I grew up in Levittown, just up here in RI finishing school and such
c0baltic 06-04-2007, 01:25 PM Im from Holbrook.. near Patchaoug.. i have one sitting on my table havnt had a chance to install it was going to do that and some engin cleaning today but the rain screwed that up
jkabaseball 06-07-2007, 11:12 AM I just ordered mine. I can't wait to get it. Seeing that it doesn't take too long to install i should be able to do it before or after work.
jkabaseball 06-09-2007, 09:57 PM just got mine today. Nice shipping times and secure safe packaging. Won't have time until monday to install it. It's also going to get a nice new coat of paint on the bummer and something fixed with the back bumper.
jasonaudio 06-19-2007, 08:29 PM A few left... once they're gone, this sale will be over.
jasonaudio 07-24-2007, 01:00 PM I have 3 of these left.... Who wants one??? :)
sick06cobalt 07-24-2007, 01:11 PM Im intrested!!!
xCobalt05x 07-24-2007, 01:17 PM you guys will love it, it scares people more then it performs, lol
i had a mustang GT roll up next to me and flagged his finger forward. lol i know that was going to be an embaresment for me to race em but i did anyway. of course he pulled away rather fast but when the car shifted into second and chirped my tires he backed off thinking i had some kind of beast under my hood, was too funny, lol
HackAbuse 07-24-2007, 01:23 PM I have 3 of these left.... Who wants one??? :)
You could always give me one :twothumbs
After all, if it weren't for me, people probably wouldnt even know they worked on cobalts, lol
I was forced to sell mine awhile back for financial reasons. I want it back though.
sick06cobalt 07-24-2007, 01:25 PM So does everyone agree that this is a good mod? I dont know much about it..
jasonaudio 07-24-2007, 02:41 PM Hackabuse - Yes... I know you were the tester. If you want... email or PM me and I'll see if I can swing you a "little" better deal (if you want to buy one again).

If you have an automatic you need this. I don't care if you have no other mods.. buy one.
xCobalt05x 07-24-2007, 06:29 PM yes, this mod is well worth it

jasonaudio 08-07-2007, 06:20 PM OrngBalt - Thanks!

biniecki 08-11-2007, 02:47 AM Just want to let everyone know that I got one of these awhile back and love it. I just tested it out on the track this evening and noticed that in the highest setting it shaved around .15 seconds off my time. I keep it on even when I'm not racing just because the shifts feel so much firmer and quicker. Thanks Jason

Evil C 11-13-2007, 02:02 AM Ide like to get one
CJ_Krause 11-13-2007, 02:45 AM i have installed it on my 2006 HHR with the 2.2 and my daughters 2005 Balt LS Coupe.
I love it
Changing the button from normal to #1 and #2 can be done when you come to any stop with the engine running. you can not change it while moving.
#1- is for normal driving and it does make a difference. shifts are more positive and if you hit it hard the shifts are alot more aggressive.
#2- is for aggressive driving. on the 2005 Balt and my 2006 HHR, we can not tune them so shift points are still around 40 from 1st to 2nd and around 60 for 2nd to 3rd. with it on #2. shifts w throttle fully depressed are faster, 45 from 1st to 2nd and 65 to 70 from 2nd to 3rd. the shifts are so hard if you have traction control, it sets it off and shuts you down. so the B&M shift plus works and is a ton of fun.
i alway run on #1 and if i feel i need more at a light i simply click it to #2 and punch it
i found a wire on the parking brake where if the parking brake is pulled it turns on the parking brake light but it also turns off the t/c so i put a switch on there and i now can turn off my t/c
i dont know if any of u have that t/c on ur Balts and if the parking brake turns off the t/c. if you do it is a great mod that cost me not much more than the switch and some wire.
jasonaudio 11-13-2007, 11:18 AM Evil C - PM sent.
