First clay experience

So after repeated claybar threads and seeing fantastic results I finally decided to see what all the hooplah was about ... here are the results

-

as you can see here we start with a car dirty from a few days after not being washed ... doesn't look too bad decent shine too
-

-

next we can see a freshly washed and clayed car notice the deep black but dull reflection.

-

-

apply the wax...

-

-

job completed

-

-

tada the reveal!!!

-

-

It took a long time and my arms are ready to fall off but damn the car feels soo smooth and looks great look at that reflection ... time for a break cus later I gotta finish the wheels, exhaust tip and interior ... damn arizona heat.

Meguiar's Smooth Surface Clay Kit was 18 bucks at autozone so I couldn't say no ... it comes with everything except a wax applicator.

You rlife will be a lot easier if you wax your car 1 panel at a time and if you do it early in the morning or late at night when the sun is not present. Much easier to remove it.

Anyone elses black ss/sc have many scratches on it cuz i know mine does. The back of my car is always full of dust/sand dust and i think my california duster scratches it is it possible? I love black man and wouldnt trade it but dam its hard to keep clean lol. Im getting it all buffed out once im out of school but is there anyway to protect or get all the swirl scratches out besides waxing it?

Sweet. I will have to have you come over some day and show me how to use that stuff. I have never waxed my car.

Clay is awesome! I couldn't believe the results when i first used it on my car. I bought the car used and the previous owners didn't take care of the paint and the clay brought the paint back to a nice smooth surface.

Looks awesomely sharp Oni! You just have to get a better pic from your driveway, or tell your neighbor with the collapsed garage door to fix it! That crooked door is an eyesore! lol
