First thing you need to do is get a Porter Cable 7424 DA polisher along with some good polishing pads and some good polish. You are gonna need to do some abrasive polishing if you want to get rid of them for good. Then buy some really good wash and drying products so they dont come back. Try reading www.autopia.org about 20 times.

Now that you have wax on your car its going to be a little tough trying to polish it with a fresh layer of wax, soooo I would either wait a while until the wax wears down to try again or use some dawn dish soap to wash the car and strip the wax off and then try again.
What kind of polisher did you get? 10" is kind of large
Use a microfiber bonnet on it.
This link should help you understand what your actually working against: http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums...&threadid=7228
Without cutting pads and the proper polish you will not be doing anything to help your paint. Clay helps remove contaminants and wax is a protective measure. You need an abrasive.
And for God's sake do not apply or remove in circles!!!

When I got my balt a couple weeks ago, it was full of little scarches and swirls, but I got the Mothers 3 - step. Pre-waxed the whole car, then glazed/sealed it, and then put the pure carnoba wax on her and it made it look like a completely different color,
if you are using a DA or other electric polishing machine, i reccomend using meguiars #7 show car glaze on the whole car with the machine and then finish with a quality wax/sealer and you will be amazed.
I have heard that meguairs swirl remover 2.0 works wonders
