Eibachs with 225/45/18's???

I know there was a post somewhere about this, but I can't find it for some reason. Hopefully someone can answer this though. Do the Eibach Sportlines rub at all with a tire size of 225/45/18? I have the springs and am getting the tires this weekend, but will they rub or will they be fine? Thanks in advance.

I have 225/40/18s with Sportlines with no rubbing and Im pretty sure I have enough gap to withstand 225/45 also. Better wait for someone who has 45 to respond though.

Thanks for the response though. I haven't heard of any fitment issues, but I just wanted to make sure.

My stock tires rub with the Eibach Sportlines. It isn't bad, just a light rub when at almost full lock.

I have the Sportlines and have NO rubbing issues with the stock tires. I know that's not the answer you were looking for, but just responding to the previous poster. lol...

just as a side note 225/40 is a more standard size and it is closer to your stock size which will keep you speedoin cal better. Just my 2 cents

thats what i run and i loove em with my ssc springs, no problems at all

it is also a slight bit sheaper, i know in the tires i go between the 40 and 45 it was $25 difference per tire

Well I guess if I cant get a definate answer on the 45's, then I'll go with the 40's instead. I know the price difference is like $6 per tire, nothing major. Thanks for the input.

I'm pretty sure there is a member here in the pittsburgh area (littlestealthSS) who just put on some 215/45/18's with stock springs and he has some clearance issues. I would not recommend that tire size with lowering it.

I was gonna go 235 as well, but again, wasn't sure on the fitment and I'm not really in a position to have to change tires more than once haha. Let me know how you make out though.

I've already ask the question and 225/45R18 with sportlines should not be a problem at all.
I bought my 225/45ZR18 BF Goodrich G-Force KDW and i'll install them in a few days.
I choose 225/45 because 225/40 will rub the nose too much in my house entrance

I've heard mixed reviews of 235 being too wide for the rim, but everyone that has them says they work, the ones that dont have them, say they dont work hahaha. I got the 225/40's with the Eibachs and they fit perfect.
