Give me your last 8 of your VIN and I can tell ya if GM put that on the sticker or just the dealership. I've seen some dealers edit the sticker to add some stuff to charge more money for the cars.

Heck yeah u can get something for it.... Ask them for something reasonable and if they say no, tell them that you are going to hire a lawyer and sue them for false advertisement.

You absolutely should do something. First, confirm your sticker VIN number actually matches your car. If it doesn't, that's the first problem, and could SUE THE PANTS off the dealer for that.

If it does match, get the VIN researched (like what they are offering above) to see if it actually did have the seats installed. If they did, then you again can SUE THE PANTS off the dealer. If they didn't, then you move on to the next step, which is figure out if you got charged for something you didn't get from GM. In that case, you would probably get a new car from them.

When the sticker doesn't match the car, thats a VERY big deal.

 

Well I never bought the car through a dealer but when I purchased it, it was still an MSO.

I'm thinking I have to complain to GM since that's the only logical choice.

However this is where it gets complicated.

I checked the Monroney sticker and it didn't say heated seats....bad

However the GM Vehicle Inquiry system copy I have states that it has order code R9N which is heated leather seats. So obviously I could see GM saying the Monroney supercedes any build sheet or whatnot. But the VIN on the vehicle build matches the car to the T.

I'm probably screwed but who knows. I read the dealer who they delivered it to and it was sent to General Motors Corp in Detroit. Somewhat different if I say so myself.

 

Sorry for the late response but your car did come with heated seats. It looks like it was used as a company vehicle for a little while. It's flagged as a code 81 - DEALER USED CAR (CVMS USE)

And to respond to above^

I knew I saw it on my build sheet or something official from GM that it had heated seats but I was unsure of what it was til I checked it out. As the build reveals it was supposed to have heated seats.

So I'm now probably going to e-mail or call GM and see what they can do about it.

There are still at least 12 new 06 GTO's floating around my area. If I could pull one in for 8k difference I would do it in a heartbeat. I checked a year ago and insurance would be like $55 a month compared to $90 I'm paying now.
