cluthc break in time 1k, 2k, 3k?

I have a 2.4 5 speed w/ approx 1600 miles on it. My clutch still shifts rough, You really have to concentrate on it. It kind of feels like a heap of junk. I dont do much stop and go. I pull out of my driveway onto a 55mph zone and only encounter 2 stoplights on my 10 mile hike to work. This thing is probably twice as hard to shift as my last 2 manuals. How long should it take before it's more buttery feeling and not clunker feeling. i've had others drive it and feels difficult to them too.

One other question. If the temperature goes above 60 her power drops drastically. she is not any quicker than my old talon and tiburon were with 140 hp and same weight. Well the balt is about 80lbs more, but with 31 extra horsies I would expect it to make up for that.

Thanks for everyone $ .02

you dont have to break it in new from factory. I would take it to the dealership and tell them whats goin on and have them look at it.
