ITB's????

Individual Throttle Bodies

Just wondering if this is something that could be benificial to the n/a cobalts if a vendor was to make them? And what if any are the benifits of them becides no real intake? And what about taking the chance with non filtered air? Any info would be sweet, thanks in advance.

Google answered my filter quesion;

ITBs look cool and are great for racing applications but on the street they are VERY temperamental. Tuning them so that you get a decent idle is extremely tough and tuning in general is going to be tougher then the average tuner wants to mess with.

Without getting real technical, they aren't great for street cars.

i think with this tune it would be alot easyer for me.... over my smt-7 . im running 4-in-1 header,3in down pipe, 2 1/2 cat back system . with the lsj supercharger, full porting and 15 psi with gm stage 2 pully and injectors. and blower cams. it would make my car make even more power and get beter milage..

im the first 2.2 supercharged. 9mos. 40,000 miles later at 15 psi and no engine internals...

BMW has been puting ITB's on there cars for years (Old M3 is an ITB inline6, New M3 ITB V8, and the M5 ITB V10)

There should be mo issues useing them on the street.

So where the heck would that go on our engine? Where the injectors currently are? I'm lost on this but I like the idea.

I've been looking for a reason to mount a snorkel scoop on the balt

They replace the Intake Mani and Throttle Body. Those Injectors pictured are not needed for our cars.

I don't fully understand what you mean.. You mean you want to put ITB's on your supercharged 2.2. Unless I'm missing something or you are a hell of a fabricator you can't put ITB's on a forced induction car.
