What would you do?

I've been hit by the modding bug. I can't be happy with the power that was given to me, i need more. After almost losing to a '96 Z24 with a few bolt on's and some head/intake work. I drive an '06 2.4SS, and my choices are:

Keep the 2.4, and turbocharge it. or Sell, and upgrade to the SS/SC, and play with that.

I think it would be easier just to upgrade to the sc'd SS, but be more fun boosting my 2.4 with the HAHN kit, granted it comes out before 2010.

What would you do?

just get the s/c. comes stock working correctly with exactly what you want.

what else can you ask for?

that is...if money isnt an issue. cuz trade in will be horrible.

money isn't really the issue. I just wanna do what's best, but i also want it to be fun. which is why i'd kinda like to boost the 2.4

Does GM have a s/c kit available for the 2.4SS?

turbo the 2.4 you'll get more power then you will for an ss/sc and it'll actually prolly cost less, if you wanna blow even an ss/sc away just turbo the 2.4!

I dont think so cause the engines are designed different cause if they did i would of bought a 2.4 and slap a sc on it instead of the 2.0 but the ss/sc models have the racing suspension if that matter to you or not and plus the ss/sc models you can limited slip diff with it

GM has a s/c kit for the LD9 2.4, would be nice if they had one for the 2.4SS.....for an outrageous price tho, it wouldn't be normal if it were affordable.

I'm also concerned about reliability with boosting the 2.4, not to mention the horror stories i've read here about proper tuning of the fuel system.

it would not be cost effective to sell your car to get the ss s/c. piece together a turbo kit, and I'm sure we (CSS.net) can help you with the tuning. if, and only if you are dead serious about this.. P.M. NJHK, he is our resident turbo guru.. however i wouldn't bother him with your B.S. if you're just kind of kickin' around the idea

also, there is no reason why you can't use the s/c and intake manifold from a 2.0L SS S/C
