Gack...already...

Well, CEL been on and off for a while, had numerous codes cleared... Still happened, turned out Cat converter was hooped, exhaust from the header back (on warranty), more codes. MAF pressure...o2 sensor etc etc... Never ran funny till last week... we found a Tick! yay...no injector crap, a nice bonified valve tick...

Take to dealer, they try and pass it off as normal, i told him to get fucked and take a real look at it. They wernt gonna give me a service rental, i pried one outta him, and thank god, they called back saying they put the stethoscope on it (like i was supposed to be amazed like they discovered some new technology) i said valve right? Agreed, possible bent lifter, and a misfire code on #4, thank god its not burnt up...

All under warranty thank god...guess im venting, not what I expected for a new vehicle, seems this thing always wants to let loose or do something funny, nevermind the crappy service i been getting from the dealer. IE saying i needed new rear pads, after just 2 months before they said they were fine (actual measurements were taken on my request first time around, 95%) He said it was a "visual inspection" i did one right there and asked him to show me the worn pad...guess what 90%+ still good as new...a-typical grooved rotors, but they wont warranty them...I bought this hulk cause my mom sells em and got me a smokin deal. Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but this one needs to be put to pasture...

another update

go tin the car saturday for the long weekend... 2" of water in the pass side, seems that it developed a leak from the top of the a pillar. New carpet, new underlay, new head liner and a pillar material...

they say its unrelated from the recall work they did, they added more material and cushioning to the headliner. Strange that it didnt leak before they went into the headliner n such. Guess that they'd rather have GM canada pay for it besides them...
