Two Toned Valve Cover

Hey guys. Some of you may know that I had a little issue with some industrial strength degreaser turning my powder coated valve cover a darker color than the original. I decided to take advantage of this mishap and instead of leave my cover speckled from the over spray, i would put more directly on it with a rag for a two toned effect. Here are the results. I think i may like it better than when it was originally one solid color. Here are some pics. Comments welcome.

I am still shocked that a cleanser caused a powder coat to do that. Seriously, WTF are you using, hydrochloric acid?

Its industrial strength degreaser called purple power/passion from autozone. Also I noticed that it will only turn the powder coat darker when the engine is slightly warm.
