Well said!!! Good thing you got her nice and stiff! All cars are girls. You take them to the gas station, put hard things in their holes, and fill them with liquids!

Nice mod dude.

looks good, but for some reason mine doesnt look that straight..is the damper suppose to be totally straight or little bit in an angle..since my top part that near the firewall is more outwards toward the left...should i worry bout it

I think it just depends how much you tighten the bolts at each end because the ball joints do have some play in them. I made mine nice and snug at each end and then adjusted the damper to 13.5mm. I'm probably gonna go a little stiffer though to 12mm cause I know my girl likes it real stiff... lol

Oh I probably will since I already have the hurst sts waiting to go in. lol

I'm good friends with the mod bug already. Out of the 5 cars I've owned (this one being the 5th) I only haven't modded one of them and that's only cause it was a plymouth sundance I was using as a winter beater one year... lol

Thanks again y'all!

For some reason I had a mental image of some dude standing next to his cobalt, pants around ankles, with his dick stuck into the gas tank whilst flashing the sideways peace sign.....
But I guess it wasn't NJHK that put up the thread, so I shouldn't have immediately thought that.

It does add a little bit of extra vibration inside the cabin, but very very minimal and I already don't really notice it any more after a couple days of driving...

and i must say i can see so many ways it can be installed wrong.
If you get it installed properly, the vibes are basically nonexistant.

Nice mod dude.

One time at the gas station, this pump attendant was pumping my gas, and I swear he looked like he was making love to my car. Then as I watch him in the mirror, his eyes rolled in the back of his head and he pulled the nozzle out and started spaying gas all over my car.

after watching the progress of that idea, I basically believe that these only start to tank if they are incorrectly installed, or incorrectly adjusted.

and after seeing the way they install, i can believe it.

I did a degree in physics, and looking at the angles and forces involved....if you dont have it all square, and tightened in the correct way, you will have forces being applied at angles that arent intended....and instead of the forces being dissipated down the strength of the bracket, they will be deflected, and cause sideways forces (bent brackets)

Another issue i can see, is when adjusting the piston, you increase or decrease the length of the piston, and if you dont adjust the length accordingly, you will have a constant pressure on the brackets above and beyond any pressure applied by the engine.

I held off buying one of these for a good while because of some people having problems...
but over a long period of time, ive seen alot of people put alot of track runs on these things and have no issues whatsoever if they are installed and adjusted correctly.

This is just my opinion after watching this product over a good period of time, Im hoping im right on this, and im going to be very particular about the adjustment of mine.

At this point I cannot believe that even on factory 14mm setting i have 0 noticable vibration, and i can peel this bitch out like a RWD now without even a hint of hopping.

It's definitely worth the money if you ever plan on getting some track time with your balt... or if you hate hopping like a damn rabbit in the rain.... lol
