Thumbs down My first "Race"...SRT-4

I've had my SS/SC for five days now, picked it up Saturday morning. That was also the first time I've driven a stick. So, needless to say, I don't know what the hell I'm doing.

Anyways, ten minutes ago on the way to work I hit a light with an SRT-4...yesterday I saw the same one on the way home from work I saw the same one and we were screwing around, weaving in and out of traffic having a good time. So today I figured what the hell, let's see if I've learned anything about driving in the last 5 days.

So the light changes, I hit it, wheels spin, hop, it revs high...starts moving, i shift into second still revving around 5g, shift into third, finally get my **** together, but by now he's gone. So we hit the next light, this time I decide instead of playing badass I'm just gonna ease off the line (my problem spot) and see what 2-4 can do for me after I get moving. So the light changes, he's gone, and I never get within 3 car lengths of him...but I didn't make an ass outa myself on the line.

So the lesson I learned today...don't mess with racing until you can confidently drive a stick

I didn't skip a gear. And yea, once I learn to launch. I'm well aware that I'm not good at it yet.

keep trying. Launching these cars is an art, not something that comes overnight
