wheel hop

ok guys i am wondering, i already have a BWoody Trans mount, if i get a Turbo Tech Racing motor mount to accompany it, SHOULD this do away with my wheel hop? It is gone on the street now, but i went to the track last night i had moderate issues with it.

The control arm bushings. We ordered the lsj sus pkg's from intense I put all them in Cab's and the trans mount inserts.Car vibrates quite a bit.So when we did his we only did the control arms and it seems just as good.

Wheel hop

I have the ZZP tranny mounts and JBP cabs and I have almost no wheel hop. Only specific situations will I get a tiny bounce.

Thing is the Tranny mounts make the car shake too much for my taste. Which I would mention is very picky.

The next step is the Bwoody traction bars which have helped out SS33 a lot with his wheel hop issues.

Hey matt, I've got the bwoody traction bars and have eliminated my hop. I'm running Torque Forward engine and tranny braces as well which before the bars had a little hop. Now its gone, with no added vibrations. Haven't track tested them yet, but on street perfect.

Too bad I didn't make it to the track or else you could have seen them.

Ok how hard is the install on those? and also, does it limit the movement of the suspension or anything?

I'd give it a 2 on difficulty out of 10. Not really hard at all with the right tools, (isn't everything easier) Hard part is making sure everything goes together correctly and to the correct spots. You have to drill a little bit out of the frame and control arms but nothing major.

It does limit movement of the suspension and I get a little creak here and there but nothing too bad. I've got a click right now, but I think that is tranny brace moving on me.

I've got the Ingalls tq dampner right now... and for something that cheap it does a decent job with limiting the amount of hop I get. I'm gonna be going with a full set of bwoody mounts here soon though.

I have both (traction bars and front tranny mount insert) and for the most part my wheel hop is all gone...although it all depends on how I can control the throttle. Its still possible for me to get wheel hop depending on how I come out of the hole but that could be due to my choice of power adder.

well choices are motor mounts but you get the vibes or traction bars. If you don't care about vibes, go with the mounts. They would be the best at eliminating hop.

If you do car about vibes, I'd suggest the bars, which will do just a good of job IMO to eliminate hop.

ok i have done some reading on the bars, and i don't really care about having 'clicking' noises, and i really don't want to bind up the suspension in any way, i think i'll just go with the mounts, i have gotten used to the tranny mount vibes, so i can get used to the motor mount vibes too

Hopefuly i didn't confuse you in saying that the clicking noise I'm hearing is the traction bars. The clicking is from the tranny brace I'm running.

There is a creaking noise at low speeds, (ie pulling in and out of driveway/garage)

For the clicking sound, it could also be somewhere down the exhaust line it taps against something with sudden movement.
