View Full Version : My Victory Red 2.4L SS!!!
RedCobaltSS06 09-26-2005, 06:19 PM Hey yall. I ordered a 2.4L Victory Red 2.4L SS, cloth seats, pioneer sound system, mp3, GM high mount spoiler to be added at dealership. It was ordered over a month ago and I have been anxiously awaiting its arrival. Most of you have probably seen my posts... lol. Anyway, my dad who works at the dealership called and had the car tracked today. It is sitting on a hauler in Atlanta getting ready to pull out in the morning. The guy at the storage depot told my dad to expect delivery around lunch time tomorrow! Finally! I'll post pics as soon as we get in tomorrow. Another member of the 2.4 family!
ch3vyc0balt 09-26-2005, 06:24 PM congrats man. be sure to post pics
RedCobaltSS06 09-26-2005, 06:26 PM Definately, especially as long as i've been waiting to get it.

How long have you been waiting?
RedCobaltSS06 09-26-2005, 06:51 PM i've had to wait over 5 weeks... its been no fun, but yeah tomorrow i'm gonna be using up that complimentary tank of gas... lol.
97cavie24ls 09-26-2005, 07:07 PM i saw a red 2.4 ss here on the freeway last week , it was the first red 2.4 ive seen in phoenix , or so cal
ive seen alot of the other colors , but red and orange , yellow
be sure and not forget pics
RedCobaltSS06 09-26-2005, 07:10 PM I won't forget them, and i'll post them in the gallery and in this thread so everyone can see them. in these parts, i've never even seen a ss s/c on the road, much less a 2.4L... we got two s/c in at our dealership and one got sold to an out of towner and the other was dealer transferred. So i know i'll be unique... plus i love red so even if they were common i would have had to get one.
Deaf_Dog 09-26-2005, 07:26 PM congrats man :thumb: your gonna love it
oaklandmr 09-26-2005, 08:11 PM congrats...i love mine.

This should be a link to my gallery... i wasn't sure how to post pics in my thread. Let me know what you guys think, i know these aren't the best pics but it was that or nothing... i had to go driving! It may not make featured car, but its definately my main feature....
DomesticDemonSS 09-29-2005, 10:42 AM Car looks nice man....
But you got an AUTO??????? :( :(
RedCobaltSS06 09-29-2005, 10:47 AM Its just to get me back and forth to school for now. i like the convenience. i know i'm not being true to the car or whatever, but its just simpler to me. thanks for the positive feedback though
02blazerx 09-29-2005, 11:32 AM car looks good. And who cares if its an auto instead of manual. Its all preference. I can drive a stick but i prefer auto for everyday commuting.
RedCobaltSS06 09-29-2005, 11:40 AM thats how i am too, thanks for the comment
jzchev28 09-29-2005, 11:56 AM nice lookin ride, not sure why you got that spoiler...but to each their own.
RedCobaltSS06 09-29-2005, 01:30 PM yeah, i know i've read a lot of folks on here don't like it, but thats one of my favorite things about the car. i loved it from the beginning but didn't know if it would make it to production, it did and it was a gm accessory so that was perfect.
97cavie24ls 09-29-2005, 02:50 PM both of my cav sedans are auto's , and with traffic in the mornings and going home from work , having the auto just makes it so much nicer to deal with , and like you i doubt id give that up
the car looks great , and i know youll enjoy it , and that is all that matters
allthough ill most likely get the 5spd when/if i get 1
but ill have to keep 1 of my cavs for the daily grind
avro206 09-30-2005, 12:03 AM I'd actaully like to drive an auto just to see what they are like.
RedCobaltSS06 09-30-2005, 12:28 AM avro, its really nice... i mean i love the sporty feeling of a 5-speed, but like 97cavie was saying, i do a lot of city driving so in stop and go it was just easier this way. its drives really smooth and hits its shifts very well, no surging or jerking... its a darn good auto...
RedCobaltSS06 09-30-2005, 12:41 PM thanks to everyone who looked at the pics... check the gallery from time to tim, i plan on adding some new ones.
