*SOLD* S'toon guys, good winter car for sale! *SOLD*

Sold

*Message to mods, I posted this here to keep it local*

I'm selling my winter car.
1988 Chevrolet Beretta GT
Asking $800 as it is right now. If I fix some of the stuff that's wrong, and throw in the extra stereo stuff I'll be asking a bit more.

Burgundy w/ Black-grey interior
2.8L SFI V6, 5spd
Body has ~320k on it, engine and tranny were swapped by previous owner at ~200k... so the engine has something like 200k on it now.
ECU is upgraded to allow the car to be chipped. I think I have the stock chip in now..... I'll have to check.
A/T/C Power windows and locks
Some corrosion in the paint, but no rust (probably never will rust, these cars were double galvanized from factory!)

New CV joints, CV boots, and tranny seals
New all season tires
New battery and alternator
New HVAC blower motor and cage fan

Top of the dash is in rough shape (I might fix that too)
Starter might be going (on your own with this one)

Aftermarket stereo -> Alpine Type-S 5.5" fronts, Stock rears, wiring kit for subs (I'll even throw in the custom box for two 10" subs), and a Blaupunkt tape deck (I'm willing to swap it for my old Alpine for a bit extra).

Absolutly a great winter car. It started for me in -30 after sitting for 6 months on the first try!

The car is in Saskatoon.
If anyones interested, call me at 270-2892

Needs a new exhaust or the old one welded back on (I might be fixing that)

BTW, the car is in Porcupine Plain right now.

I'll trade you! You take over the lease payments on my SS/SC and I'll buy your car!

.... um... two reasons why that wouldn't work..
1) I have an SS-SC already
2) The exhaust on this car would never let it pass safety in Alberta.

Thanks anyways

BTW, how long is your lease, and how long have you had it? I'll spread the word for you.

It'll be two years this september, 4 year lease. Want something that will better handle Edmonton winters, and cheaper per month!

hmm, $800 you say, can't be much more than putting tires on the cob, not to mention the wear saved on it. As long as it will last through the winter i'm interested, i'll go to the meet on saturday, we can discuss it there if the price has changed or anything

it will most likely be cheaper than a good set of winter tires on the balt. especially it you stay with the stock wheels.

I'm just saving up some money right now, if you still want $800 i could probably just get it off credit card or something, let me know what plates are for it, i'll probably give you what you want, i trust you wouldn't give a bad deal to a fellow cobalt owner lol

Hmm... I was paying $500 a year with my current safety rating. I'm sure it would be under $300 for a winter though.
Give me a call sometime (270-2892). I'll knock a bit off the price for a fellow 'balt'er.
