Red face Man the fuzz got me good,lol..

So I got nailed this long weekend for speeding!! Not once but twice!! My friend and I decided to take a short trip this evening to Calgary. First time I've just crested a hill just outside of Innisfail when sure enough at 150kph the Highway patrol get me, (speed limits 110kph). Man those lights are perty on those police cars So np I we get cruising again and start speeding again.. Now we head back to Red Deer and just about home (Red Deer) I get nailed doing 140kph, I was doing 180kph before just to see if I could hit the limiter but it got busy .. This time the boys could have given me a $150 fine alone cause I had a license plate thingy surrounding my plate and slightly obscuring my registartion sticker or my insurense one?

So total fines for the short evening $438!! Not to bad I think, I'm more worried about them making me take off my illegal tint then some speeding fines which they never get me for (the tint I mean).. Tip!!! don't speed on long holiday weekends And if you have a radar detector, use it as I never did install mine .. You know what though, I don't mind this **** at all as lifes to short to worry about **** like this.. Lifes cool and the police were nice too so what a fun weekend

Well now its Tuesday morning and I'm finding myself hitting my head, why why why? *******!! lol I don't know where they take or buy sperm donations soo? Just going to figure out my bills etc now and put the car in storage for the mean time so I don't get in any more **** Funny thing I can rip around town with no problems but then being in a small town like Red Deer is more a controled situation I find.

Sucks to be you bro. That is going to be a lot of demerits for those two tickets. And anyone who drives the QEII often knows not to speed around Innisfail. The cops there are ruthless and EVERYWHERE.

wow... no offense, i would be worried if i was you.

Those are like 4 point tickets EACH. Thats 8 demerits in one day.... im surprised you dont have to go to court. Your insurance in gonna rape you once they find out about the demerits....

I hate to say this... but its your own fault. You should have learned after the first ticket that speeding on a weekend like this one was definately a bad idea. Not to mention how unsafe it is to be trying to top out your car at 180 km/h on a shitty, unpredictable road as the QE2.

Anyways... no one else said it so i had to lol.

And what you mean you arent worried about it.... i thought u styarted a thread sayign u could BARELY afford rent... now u have to come up with almost 500 bucks to pay fines in a month.

No harm guys say what u will..

My out look is just a bit different is all.. I was driving at one point on that trip and some deer almost crossed in front of us but didn't and trust me if I hit one I would have been really really unhappy I just look at it this way.. **** happens, I'm NOT about it nor am I blaming anyone but myself!! The police were doing there jobs and I just gave them something to do I actually now am working 1 1/2 jobs so paying them is just an inconvience, the points I'll deal with as I will with my insurenece.

Also my first ticket that I got on the way home isn't due till June 25 and thats $194, the second isn't due till July 30 ($294). So no problems paying them, just gotta budget like a ****.

And Saunders, ya I'm using my roommates computer so no msn messenger as she won't use it or let me down load it thats why you have'nt seen me online.. Again guys I'm not bragging about this **** that happened just sharing my experience is all.. But ya I've calmed down the whole driving fast thing let me tell you. I think I lose my license if I get another one? Have to talk to a ex cop co-worker at work 2 day and find out.. Gonna laugh at him cause he keeps thinking I'm gonna lose my tint .. Anyways life goes on right.. But ya learn from my experience kids!!! lucky I'm old but not as old as Kaiso

And ya Jekyl that was my mother and sister that I was talking about the rent thing, my rent is only $400 a month all utilities included My car payment is more then my rent.. please know all the facts before hand just buggin smart ass

... oops my bad about the rent. But still... you mention that you have to "budget like a ****" to be able to afford these fines... and that you are workign 1 and 1/2 jobs also. Id say its a little more than an "inconvenience" to pay these fines for you.

Basically what im getting at is... you try to say that paying it is no problem when other statements you make contradict that completely.

bottom line is... it all could have been avoided if you had just slowed down lol. Then you would have 500 bucks for mods... and not fines...

^^^ x2 anomalous
I was laughing it up when I got my one and only ticket. It's pretty much always your fault when you get a ticket so why bother bitching about it. I actually found thedriver's story hillarious as I remembered listening to the radio on friday afternoon hearing them talk about how there was going to be something like 12 extra cops on the #2 this weekend lol. I just stayed inside all weekend.

Anyhow, everyone says how he's screwed about his insurance and licence and such, but I think thedriver is old enoug that it's not gonna make a huge dent unless he's had a so-so record in previous years, but it's definately not gonna look good getting two big tickets on the same day... It's like "wtf didn't you learn your lesson just a few hours before that"

Thanks guys that give me props there.. Again it was my fault, the cops were nice, I got home safe, the cars still running yada yada yada.. Sorry Jekyl I wasn't making much sense there, what I was trying to say you might not understand as your not in my shoes but really this thing that happened is just that, something that happened, no one got hurt, I helped the Alberta budget or something etc etc.. **** on the way to work tonight I almsot got into an accident but I'm fine, scared the **** outta the girl that forgot how to drive but I thought to, hell I've been there, made a bad turn..

Its all how you hold yourself and wtf you do, wether its right or wrong.. that day we saw a rig over turned on one of the off ramps, looked fucked up but hey, if the guy lived and no serious injuries he didn't hvae a horrible day.. See what I'm getting at people.. Lifes pretty good as long as you have a roof over your head, food in your stomache and blah blah blah... Anyways gonna call my insurense company tomorrow morning (Wed) and see what or how bad I fucked myself up .. Have a good one, be safe

Nope...it is 4 demerits for each of those tickets because of the speed over the limit he was going.

Speeding - up to 15 kph 115(2)(p)/53(5)(c) - 2 demerits
Speeding - over 15 less than 30 kph 115(2)(p)/53(5)(c) - 3 demerits
Speeding - over 30 less than 50 kph 115(2)(p)/53(5)(c) 4 demerits
Speeding - by more than 50 kph 115(2)(p)/53(5)(c) - 6 demerits *Plus with this one there is an automatic court appearance.

its not the money, its the points on your licence that you now have that suck...

one more ticket in the next 3 years and you could lose your licence... well you get the interview, and thats no fun.

as for the amount of points he has, it depends on what the lowered infraction speed was.

He can still get another ticket in the next three years and he will not lose his license. If he gets over 15 demerits in that time, THEN he loses his license for 30 days.
