Was what I said to my wife last night when we filled up her 2006 Pontiac Montana SV6 AWD mini-van. I almost had a heart attack when she said thats what it takes EVERY WEEK!!! Holy ****! Thats $320.00 a month FOR GAS!!!! No freeking way in hell!
So after I the para medices gave me some oxugen abd I stoped hyper ventilating I told her THATS IT! The VAN GOES! So we went to our friendly neighborhood Saturn dealer just to see the new Aura. First off, VERY NICE CAR! No wonder it got 2007 car of the year! So we take it for a test drive, very very nice! 3.5 litre V-6, 30+ mpg on the highway (thats what my Balt gets!) HUGE by GINORMOUS trunk, tons of rear seat room (great for the kids) sunroof, XM, 6 SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANS!
4 wheel discs, on star with a built in CAR PHONE!!! Holy crap! But wait it gets better! Factory built in nav, power everythinng! And this isn't even the top of the line Aura!!!!!
Total cost out the door.....$20 and change!!!! Car payments of $320 a month with 5% GMAC financing and we brought it home!
So here for the very first time ever is my wifes brand new 2007 Ocean Mist Saturn Aura XE!
(I like this car, I like it ALOT!)
Oh almost forgot, we owed $16,900 on the van and they offered $17,000 for it in trade! So no negative equity rolled into the new Saturn. The cars payments are $20 less a month then the van was and we should save around $150 to $180 a month in gas! Total savings to buy the new car....$200 less amonth for the car then the truck!

Thanks guys! Wife picked it out totaly since its her car. Why should I tell her what to drive? That'd be lame as hell IMO.
Yeah I'm liking the new Saturns too. The Astra comes out next year! Oh boy can't wait!

Thanks all! No interior shots yet! Devon anytime man!
And yes it gets DOUBLE the milage of the van. The Aura is rated at 30 for the highway where as the van was rated 15, that exactly half. The reason being was the van was an AWD with a 4 speed auto, the Aura is FWD with a 6 speed auto. 2 OD gears make a HUGE difference and so does its VVT.

How do you get 17k trade for a Montana? I thought they stopped making those things years ago.
In any case, that model Saturn is definitely a nice car. There was a woman co-worker who pulled up in one of those things. And it really has all the nice touches.

The Montana stopped in 05 they changed its name for 06 to the SV6. But on the doors it still says Montana. And it had power EVERYTHING! Power sliding doors, power lift gate, Rear seat DVD, AWD, fully, fully loaded! And well cared for.
