Broke a bolt how do I get it taken out?

Ok so when my supercharger pulley flew off it broke 3 of the hub's bolts off inside the hub and i can't take them out because they are not sticking out far enough to unscrew with pliers. How would i take these out? Drill them out? Someone help me! lol This is what's keeping me from driving right now

They have kit's for that. Easy outs? I think they are called. Or reverse drill out's. I have never actually had one work out of all the times I have used them but it's worth a shot. I have always ended up drilling them out. Most of the time re tapping the holes larger as well. Good luck. That **** sucks.

I had a 2.5" ZZP pulley on my Intense hub and the pulley did not align up with every other pulley where the belt runs on. It was probably off i would say 1/8th of an inch maybe a little more. It was really noticable. The belt squealled alot because of that and when i was driving home one day the belt slipped off and the pulley broke off the hub breaking all 5 bolts and leaving 3 of them inside of the hub itself. Also destroyed the belt. I think ZZP gave me a shitty pulley or something because supposively the Intense and ZZP hub work fine with either of the companies pullies, but not mine i guess

Please forgive me but I must.
The part where you say it was "really noticeable" combined with the "driving home one day" makes me say "step away from the drill"
You can't be real mechanically inclined to actually run a pully that was "noticeably" out of alignment.
Try the easy outs first. They will cost you about $30./set and they are a bigger version of a screw extractor.
Please don't drill around an expensive part unless you really are set up to do it.
This is just my suggestion.

Don't you have to use a drill to use the easy outs??

Sadly I would still suggest taking out the S/C simply so you can have direct and unencumbered access to the broken bolts. The extra time spent can prevent "ahhhh crappp"

Drilling out a broken off bolt is not a job for a novice. You can very easily drill the threads right out of the hub. If you have never done it before, don't try it. Get some help. Or bring the supercharger to a machine shop and have them do it for you.

Thats why I said technically , because yes you start of with a drill but not with the intent of drilling out the bolt. Two different things and as Halfcent just mentioned, this in not novice kind of work.

How hard can it be though? All I am is taking a drill bit smaller than the hole and drilling straight through.

You are expecting the bolt to just fallout??? Just because you have a hole in the centre of the bolt doesn't mean your problem is solved. Thats why you need to use an extractor, which allows you to turn the bolt out and not wreck the threads in the process.

Still.....unless the bolts were installed with loc-tite and not broken flush with the hub, you should be able to take them out without the extractors. ie. The bolts are broken flush with the hub and no loc-tite was used during the installation of the bolts.

I usually try pounding a flathead into it, then just screwing it out. Depends how soft the bolt is.

Which he already stated they were.

You guys are right. Lets tell someone with little experience to go ahead and just drill & hammer on his S/C snout. How much worse could he possibly make the situation. It's a piece of cake. Any 5 year old armed with a drill or hammer & screw driver can do it.
Go a head Yellow, the concensus seems to be, it's a piece of cake and I am sure they will replace your snout for you if something, "Ohhh crappp" happens.

I've seen pulley swaps being done with a 2x4 and some muscle. So if that didn't damage the blower, lol... pound away. Although, I do not recommend it.
