For them who still have the stock ugly antenna

I've found that one on ebay :

http://cgi.ebay.ca/SHORT-CAR-ANTENNA...QQcmdZViewItem

It fits perfectly without any adaptor, i've taken de 8'' one, it is black, same color as the stock one, and same model.

Beautiful look ! And it works well too

Pictures to come !

Guys, there is a supporting vendor that offers a shorty antenna as well. I believe it is TNT. I ordered one through http://www.antennax.com/ and it has a good look to it, costs less, and looks a little more durable then those.

Just a heads up. +1 for being a part hunter tho.

It will not fit any 07 cobalts or g5's. The 05, 06's have a 6mm threaded tip. for some stupid ass reason, the 07's have a 7mm tip. I have been looking for a shorty for my 07 for about 2 months and i cant find one yet.

I ordered the 'Eurostyle' 13" ebay one from AntennaX last week, should be in Monday or Tuesday. The guy over there (John Volcho I think..) *assured* me that it would fit on the 07s and they included a special adapter.

I'll update you guys, but figured for like $15 it was worth the gamble.

I have a honda element antenna. because its originally a male antenna you have to cut off the nub and drill and tap it out. but the end result is worth it.

What do ya think?

Thanks! it took me about a half an hour but I really like the way it looks and lines up with the base. Also reception is just as good as the fishing pole

LoL I just went to Canadian tire and bought one for $10 CAD, unscrewed the old one, screwed the new one on and done. Probably a 1minute job total. My brother with a later 06 bought the same antenna, however when he tried to install his it didnt work, the post was too big If I remember correctly...

their adapter is for female mounts, we have a male mount so we need a real 7mm antenna

tell me if you have better luck than I did cause I had to return one for refund

That is WAY overpriced but does that have a 7mm connector or is it a 6mm?

I bought the 12" length from this seller... I had to drill it out and tap it to fit the 7mm base on my 2007 but I already knew about this so it wasn't any surprise.

Nevermind the dirty car but here's pics:

Looks kinda tall in the pics but not so bad in reality. I need some reception when I'm out road tripping in the middle of the corn fields in Iowa.

I bought the "euro" style antenna from antennax on ebay, it does have the coupler to make it fit the 07's, it's not as cool as the s2000 one because the coupler is about 3/8" which makes it stick up that far from the original post on the car. It doesn't look bad though, don't get me wrong I love the new look as compared to the fishing pole! If I ever have some free time I may drill and tap it out...but until then it looks fine. Can't really complain for $15 shipped.
