Ok, I'm going to the pav's tomorrow night. Reply to this thread if you're down. I was thinking of metting up at about 5pm. Maybe earlier so we can try to get at least a half-row of just cobalt's, RL's, SRT-4's, and yes even you cavy guys ;) . I wanna have a domestic sport compact showing, hopefully in full force.

im at the 101 and the 17 , and ill be there between 5-6 , a bunch of the cav group should be there as well

Yea, we were all hoping you'd show up. Afterwards, Me and a mustang guy hit up the meet on 35th ave/union hills. And we cruised the streets for a while. you woulda had fun. A guy in a supercharged tibby tried to challenge my friend.

yeah it woulda been a bit better with more support but it was cool non the less. It's too bad the cruise phxss and I were supposed to go to got canceled I mean we woulda had some decent video too but there is always next time we defenitely need a role call for any meet whether it be the pav's the track or whatever.

Tis true...lots of shit out there running. But look at it this way....good chance for you guys to have 3 or 4 wins against imports.

Yeah, I owe my G/F a couple nights out too...which is why I'm bringing her to the Pav's on Sat
and then to the track next week. :cool:

Alot of them I raced from a roll, then from a dig as well.
My Ford buddies were pissed when I beat my buddy Jakes' 86 5.0.
It's got some shorty headers from(real ones, not the crappy OEM headers)an H-pipe, 3.55 gears and a couple other things done. It runs very healthy. They all figured He'd stomp me from a dig and a roll. From a 20 mph roll he was 2-3 lengths behind @ 80-90mph. From a dig we were even by 90mph, with my pulling. He always shut it down as I was passing him cause he couldnt speed shift it into 5th! HAHA. I was at the top of 3rd while he was going to 5th...I love it.

What was also cool about that race is when we went from a dig I'd outlaunch him, pull about a half car, then I'd shift to 2nd and he'd catch up and pull a half car on me. This is because of the massive difference from 1st-2nd gear in the SS. After that I'd be pulling steady the entire race up to 90 and we'd be even, with me maybe ahead by a bit.

I also stomped a newer Celica GT-S lastnight on the highway. The little bastard tried to sneak up on me from the next lane over when he was a few cars back. When I noticed he was on it he was already at my rear bumper. But it didn't take much more than a down shift into 3rd at 70mph to hault him and put a couple cars on him. Needless to say he was probably embarrased/pissed. So he changed two lanes to the left, got in the HOV lane and gave me a nice ricer fly-by after I'd slowed back down to 70 mph. My buddy and I both got a good laugh. :lol:

Actually, it would seriously woop your front bumper, your drivers side fog light, the front lip, all three heat exchangers and the brackets/mounts for them. Then you can tack on paint but that seems a little moot by then. ;)

Man...be careful. Friend of my son's with 05 Type S (he's 17) got nailed for drag racing, exhibition of speed one night and less than a week later got a criminal speeding ticket. Haven't heard the outcome but his court dates were two days last week. Spoiled little prick deserves whatever they give him. His dad is a wealthy Dr.

Haha...sounds like it. But I'm carefull with what I do. I won't do anything to endanger any others on the road either, I don't need that kind of guilt on my conscience. I also pay for my car/insurance so the last thing I need is more payments.

Speed World is a loooong drive for me. I live in mesa. I wouldn't mind meeting at the Pavs. on a Sat. night. That is probably a more centralized location for everyone, rather than one of the strips plus I don't really want to race. I would rather meet some of you guys and exchange experiences with the our cars. It would be cool to get a whole group of SS S/C out there...that would really draw some attention. I would have gone last night for sure, but just saw this thread 10 min. ago.
