mufnman's new ride **56K you can still try**
i know that everyone would like that i bought an ss/sc, but after about a year of debating with myself, the RSX-S won out.

jade green metallic paint, titanium gray (read: TAN) interior. all stock except for a little bit of tint on the windows. it drives nice, it looks nice, and it feels like a more expensive car than it is. bought it off of a very nice couple with a baby, so i assume that they probably were wanting a car that's a little more practical for carrying the baby around.
$17500 with 24K miles on it -- not absolutely ideal, but i'm happy with the purchase considering that they KBB value at around 20K from private party selling and more than that from the dealers. and it's got about two and a half years remaining on the warranty.
so no more SS/SC wishing now... i still love that damn car and always turn my head to look at one when i'm driving around, but the fact that it's a little more... outrageous than the type-S (which is a good thing!!!) plus the fact that it has a little trunk opening was the dealbreaker for me.
i'll still stick around, though! this place feels much more... cozy... than clubrsx's message board!
EDIT: a few more pics, plus a picture of me on the other new ride.

and no 'Honda' badging for me. it's an ACURA RSX and it says so on the back, not a HONDA integra. i hate it when people JDM-ize their stuff just so it's 'authentic'.
got to drive it home today, and i have to say, it's one sweet ride. driving it is very easy, smooth power delivery when you aren't in the upper RPM range, very comfortable over semi-smooth pavement, and very quiet inside. it's hard to tell that the engine's even on if you've got the windows up and the radio on. over rougher pavement though, it starts getting a little bit rough. the steering feel is very firm and at speed you can change lanes or go around a mild curve without really turning the wheel at all. and best of all -- a green car doesn't attract the local fuzz as much as the red SS/SC i was looking at a few weeks ago, which is a definate plus. even though i don't drive aggressively enough to attract unwanted attention
so even though i still love the SS/SC, i think that the RSX is a pretty sweet ride, plus i got a pretty good deal on it, and it'll hold decent value when I decide to sell it.
no mods planned currently because as of now i essentially have zero spending money, but eventually i'll be getting the requisite CAI or short ram intake, maybe the A-Spec suspension package, paint the calipers, XM or Sirius, an LSD of some sort from a Civic SI or Integra Type-R, upgraded brake pads, and a set of sticky summer tires.
more pics up tomorrow when i get a chance to clean it up and give it a good wax job.
and this is off topic but i want to talk about it: i GPSed 62.2MPH on my waverunner this weekend. the goal is to get around 69 or 70MPH by the end of the summer.

Does my best friends Type S suit your needs.....
I drive my car, i drive his car, drive them both enough
I love my SS/SC.....BUT!!
The Type S is a way better car in every aspect you look at it...
That why they cost a little bit more....
Cant compare a Saturn to a Lexus, get my drift
but i still love my SS/SC!!!

his first type s.....lemon lawed it

RSX-S is not a better car every way you look at it.
1. It is undeniably slower
2. It costs more to repair
3. It takes more money to make it faster then a SS/SC
4. The entire drivetrain will need to be updated to handle more then 300 whp, how long do you think that tranny will last?
5. Did it come with a 10" sub?
6. Does it get 33 mpg?
7. Did it come with stock 18"s which are sweet looking?
8. Does it come stock with an MP3 stereo?
Some of these are really questions, I have no idea if it gets 33 mpg, but I doubt it does...
SS SC is a damn good car, it's not in the same league, but I didn't buy this car for refinement, I bought it for the LACK THEREOF! RAW IS IN!
