Stage 1 beats stage 2?
Well me and a buddy were cruising last night and a open road pops up so we decided to do a quick run from 40mph in 2nd gear of course. I'm running stage 2 with the GM tune and him Stage 1 with the GM tune. He's passengerless and i'm riding with a friend. Anyways he gives 3 honks gets a slight jump on me and we both start pulling. But to my suprise i ended up with my nose exactly at his back bumper by the end of 2nd gear then we shut down coming up to a light. Could this just be the crappy GM tune? I rode in his later that night and it def. felt like it pulled harder, now i'm lost as to what to check for or if i'm just paranoid?

Yep has the 7000 redline, and the only other mods the guy has besides the stg 1 is the airbox mod which i lack. And none of it was driver or shifting error as you can see we started and shut down in 2nd.
We went from a 40 roll in 2nd of course. to the end of 2nd gear where he ended up his back bumper at my front. Not from a dig, no driver error period. We ran like this because i've been feeling my car to be a bit sluggish and wanted a good straight up test.
Referring to the knock taking the balt in to a shop and getting it checked and tuned should take care of that correct? I've heard about the crappy GM 07 stg 2's with the knock up the ****.
u need to also realize that u have a passenger to his passengerless car...200 pound passenger can knock off .002 seconds of a quarter mile...Now with only your smaller pulley your only putting if that 15 more hp than him along with no intake and a passenger it makes complete sense to me

i ran a 14.5 with a passenger stock, and a 14.6 without him. the trap was 1 mph different.
well, i ran a guy, that i know, and he only had an injen intake.. and i had gm stage 2, and injen intake, and we went from a 40 roll in 2nd, he pulled me by at least a half car, but we shut down at 160, and my car was slowly starting to pull on him, but then again, my 20s probab;y played a roll. Plus my dyno was wacked that day to
Matt you cant drive for **** lol!!! No its not driver i drove it later and it didnt feel any faster then mine and his exhaust sounds shittier then mine Maybe bad cat pervious owner put regualr in all the time. And how bad of a driver do you have to be to floor it in second gear with no shifting?? I honked and he hit it at the same time so why did i put a car on him. if i went through third it woulda been worse. And a 150lb person made a difference by a car when he theoreticaly has more hp then me? Something is fucked up with his car it is a 07 maybe bad gm tune? Heard there was sumtin wrong with them. Also dont know if this matters but he babys it and is only getting 19.5 mpg i drive worse then him and get 25.

my car didnt feel faster with the stage 1 when i get the pulley i bet it will feel a lot faster

The Stge 2 Dyno looks like

Stage 2 pulls alot harder alot sooner than Stage 1. What is the real difference between the 2 stages? Not the tune or injectors, it's the pulley, IE the AIR. So, if you don't do something to free up the intake (airbox mod or drop-in K&N) you are not taking advantage of the Stage 2 power band.
