not running anything right now but Ive asked the same question and researched it before.

You'll prolly here this the most as well, AEM offers a nice and simple setup like what your looking for.

Also look at NGK's AFX Wideband.

Yes, the narrow band is just a light show really, get a true wideband that runs to an O2 sensor! More expensive but better!!

yah your def looking at a narrow-band like the others have said. A narrow band tells you if your rich or lean but not how rich or lean you are, therefore it has no tuning purpose and will just bounce back and forth as you go through the gears.

Get a wideband you can actually use it

It connects to the exhaust system just like any other wideband.. need another bung.

need a 12v supply and outputs 0-5v. You can tune what that 0-5v represents. They have a gague if you want it.. but with HP Tuners i never need it anyways.. it just plugs right into the HP Tuners cable and makes tuning a breeze.

I'm also starting to research this...

There are a decent amount of widebands out there and they are all pretty decent. I'm seriously leaning towards ptrblkz24's setup, mainly because since the day I first sat in this car I knew something cool could be mounted in that waste of space on the dash...

ok is the first product (the $289) all i need. i dont see anything about a guage with it, so is it just the 02 wideband sensor and the conrtoller? if so, is that all i would need to plug into HPtuners and monitor the AFR?

go with the aem wideband, it looks nice, and its $250, you can change out the faces and bezels on it, but i believe you can on just about any of them.

yes you would need a gauge. if you buy the aem kit, everything you need is included. Installation instructions are great with the aem unit, and it can be logged with HPTuners.

might want to do a little reading on them but ill inform you a little about them since you seem iffy...

gauge>>wire that leads to 02 sensor (plug n play)

you will need to weld a bung in your DP, if you are running a catlytic converter it will need to be pre cat for an accurate reading, needs to be mounted a certain distance away from the block between the 9 and 3 o clock position when facing the car. any questions you can ask me whatever, i went through the whole install and thought it was going to be a pain but it was the easiest thing to install on this car.

hey man i really appreciate that. yeah so that 289.99 kit is everything i need, including the guage? im running a catless DP right now. so i would need a bung installed, put the widband in, run it to the guage in the cab and have the guage powered somewhere, correct?

found this too-

http://www.rpmoutlet.com/aemgauge.htm

yeah that includes everything you would need.

you need to locate a power source iirc. i spliced into the power line of the boost gauge iirc. If its the AEM, it should also include 2 or 3 other wires which would hook up to hptuners, like i said the aem instructions are like a huge booklet.

280 isnt a bad price, i got mine for 250 shipped when they were running a deal on here.

Yea, NGA is the vendor that has it for $250. I went with the NGK wideband though, I have yet to install it so I have no comments on it at this time. I got it for $252 shipped from an eBay store with great service.
