He had an aftermarket air intake.....maybe soemthing else...
(2.5L 175 hp, 6 speed, limited slip)

Anyhow we raced twice at the track and I beat it by 0.3 and 2mph both times. I tought'd it would be closer but I am glad I won anyhow :-D

Yeah on both...less then a tenth and then a tenth. My R/T was good too even though I red lighted twice. I was trying real hard for another perfect!

-0.05 and -0.52

As for the times well I was a tenth off my best to date. After two runs it started to rain so they issued rain checks.

With a -0.05 and -0.52 reaction time on two races, you lost them both. Regardless of who crossed the finish line first, you lost the races with a redlight.

I raced a Spec V on an access ramp last week...probably a 20 mph roll in low gear. He had CAI and at least a cat back. I had about 2 cars by the top of second gear. From a dig, I'm sure it would have been closer as they do possess a boat load more torque than my gutless Acura.

Really? My much better ets say I WON. We weren't bracket racing. Sure I redlighted. So what? Thats what happens when you trying for a perfect r/t.

It wold not matter what r/t I got my car did a faster et. Learn about these things before you post.

I realized that your ET was better Dingus. My point was that you claimed wins based on your ET alone, when in fact, the other drivers were telling their friends they beat you because you red lighted. If you had been racing for money, your wallet would be lighter.

But then again, I'm sure with all your experience and knowledge, you knew that already.

By the say, Einstein, doesn't the word "wold" have a "u" in it?

big guy you are to resort to name calling.

Your post said I lost----I did not. Blah, blah, blah. Redlight or no----my car is faster. That was the point of the post. Sorry you missed that.

Furthermore--would does have a "u"---very clever of you to notice. I was just typing too fast, Mr. Critical  A big red star for you

Dude chill the hell out. He posted a legit story, no need to go and start ripping on him for stupid shit.

If you want to start flame wars go somewhere else, cause you won't be here much longer if you keep starting shit like that

What were your times? You are right, the timer starts no matter what. Who cares if you redlighted if you're looking for best 1/4 times? Shit happens in search of cutting the perfect light!

Here---not my best, off 0.1 and over 2mph

16.48 @83.13 VS 16.79@81.87 for the Sentra. Gotta hate the elevation! (that'd be a 15.6@sea-level)

I think I might have shifted at 6500rpm into 3rd and not 6750rpm---that could have had a small effect.

The Sentra owner has drag raced before--so he has some experince with his car.

Might go back on Friday---in search of the 16.0 ;)

My sincerest apologies. I was simply making a point that redlights result in lost races. As far as negativity, his reply is as follows:

"My much better ets say I WON. We weren't bracket racing. Sure I redlighted. So what? Thats what happens when you trying for a perfect r/t.

Sorry that I upset anyone.

Wow I'm impressed with the spec-V, it only had an intake and it was only a .3 difference. I was thinking SS would take a Spec alot more then that. But Good kill

That makes a lot more sense. I missed that part completely. I ran against 1 and beat him by atleast 2 car lengths.

average people know surprisingly little about cars. Even a car person likely only knows stuff about their own cars and not others.

I was talking to some guys at work. They did not know the Firebird/Camaro has been out of production for 4 years!! One guy though you could get them in the US! Going back a few more years--some one thought that they had 4clys!

Dude...not to question the info you put on your sig, but, how do you run a 14.6 with a trap speed of only 94 mph? I mean, that's impressive, but, not very believable. Just wondering that's all. :cssNET:

My signature doesn't mention the Intake, Header, Exhaust, and Cams im running. Also that Houston Raceway Park sits <20 feet above sea level and is the fastest track in the nation. And that with me in the car, alittle weight reduction, and a 3/8 of a tank of gas puts the car at <2,800Lbs.

Im not here to troll, im here for research. But I asked a simple question of the sixty foot of these said runs.

I assume from the MPH, that your car is the SC'd 2.0L. And with that MPH, you should be able to clock off a 14.3 or so with a decent 60' (<2.19). Best of luck to ya!

not to get anything started and i don't know if you guys care or not. but i raced a spec-v this past saturday at the track here on guam and i beat him. can't wait to get back to the states and race a n/a ss. i think it should be a good run. here on guam the conditions suck and the track is unprepped. so times are about .5 sec's off from the states. i'll post the vid. i am bone stock in my ralliart and he had a nismo cai.

http://www.zfver.com/vids/11-12-05/Ralliart-vs-SentraSER.wmv

i ran a 16.0 @ 84mph. with a 2.4 60ft. i know it's not an awesome time, but i wasn't even giving the car all it had and that's an awesome 60ft. for an unprepped track and stock goodyear eagle rs-A's if you ask me. i'm going back soon to get a 15sec time all stock. i should trap in the upper 80's. i'll be trapping higher when i come back to the states in Aug. 06. once again, i was on a half a tank of 89 octane and stock all season tires, full weight, bone stock.
