i just installed the rear springs of the sportline kit but when i tired doing the front, i ran into some trouble, i cant get the strut and spring out. they dont just fall out when u unbolt them like it says in the forums. has someone done this themselves yet? oh and my cobalt is the LS cobalt

Unbolt the top three nuts inside the engine compartment first (on the strut tower). Then come to the wheel well. There should be two big bolts running from the front of the car toward the back that are holding the bottom of the strut assembly in. Undo those bolts. It may not just slide out like you said. Make sure the car is lifted hight enough for the suspension to go full droop. Pull the bottom of the strut assembly toward you as you stand in front of the wheel well. Pull down at the same time and you also may have to move left of right a little. Be careful around the brakelines and stuff. It should come out fairly easily force. Have fun!

those two bolts that hold it in at the bottom dont come out. either its really hard or theyre like molded in there or something. i tried hitting them out with a hammer but they still wont come out. i also have the car lifted high enough but the driveshaft and sterring rod prevent it from dropping any further. :(

for the rear springs did you need to remove the strut?

the bolts that are "molded in" need to come out, they just need to be hit with a hammer, it helps to turn them first to get them moving. I used an impact wrench and a hammer, like butter.

we dont have rear struts, just a spring and shock, as for the bolts up front they have grooves in them that can make them fit tight, if you dont have any impact tools use a hammer and a punch and that should take care of it.
